Re: Has anyone tried to obtain an "Official Seal" from Nintendo for their game?

And frankly speaking, to most people in this world, the "I want a big corporation to give me their badge of recommendation for my effort to make a game for a system they discontinued more than 30 years ago" is more in the realm of something you need counseling for. I don't think that it's insane to...

Re: Has anyone tried to obtain an "Official Seal" from Nintendo for their game?

I don't know what you think the seal of approval is, but no you're not allowed to just put trademarked and copyrighted Nintendo emblems on stuff. ...I didn't think this topic would invoke such animosity -- I didn't mean to offend anyone here. I think the seal of approval is exactly what it ...

Re: Has anyone tried to obtain an "Official Seal" from Nintendo for their game?

Retrotainment ported Haunted: Halloween '86 to the Nintendo Switch. I was involved very little with the port, mostly to change strings (such as s/Select/- Button/g), but I do know it's running a variant of 3dSen. Thanks for your input. I've heard about this, but do you know if Nintendo is aware tha...

Re: Has anyone tried to obtain an "Official Seal" from Nintendo for their game?

From memory, Sega replied "too old, do what you want" when asked about official licensing for Pier Solar. Nintendo in turn didn't even reply when someone asked for NES. And well, their seal meant they had done QA on it, they don't have NES QA anymore, so why would they even in theory say yes? In th...

Has anyone tried to obtain an "Official Seal" from Nintendo for their game?

This may be an odd question but I was wondering if anyone has contacted Nintendo about licensing their game. It seems like they are a bit (and that is a small bit) more friendly toward indie developers with the Switch's release; that said, I was wondering if they would ever endorse developers (or co...

Re: Copper Jacket

For graphics it's more of an overall polish. First and foremost the choice of colours (especially the green for grass and the blue for the water) makes it look like the game takes place at night. It works better when it's raining though. Then there are the soldiers with white skin and blue outlines...

Re: Copper Jacket

Although it needs polish it's already a very fun game. Reminds me of Commando, Ikari and even a bit of Metal Gear. I kind of wished there were bombs for the B button. Although for this particular genre it's more common to shoot with the leftmost button and throw grenades with the rightmost one like...

Re: Copper Jacket

It's really cool, I'll have to try this on 2 players. Is the B button used? I find myself wishing I could hold down the B button so you keep shooting in one direction while walking in another. Having to walk towards an enemy to shoot them is kind of a rush, but on the other hand it's kind of annoyi...

Copper Jacket: Graphics Updated

The Game I am currently working on a 1-2 player action game titled “ Copper Jacket .” You play as a renegade combat expert who sports a military grade rifle and carries with him a lot of heavy bombs . Your mission is to defeat your former boss, Commander Zaslavsky, who has kidnapped your girlfriend...

Will there be bosses in this game? Looks cool. Also, is your kickstarter going to be for physical cartridges?

Re: Orange Island - New action adventure RPG

Thanks both! I know I'm approaching this whole project in reverse (kind of graphics/music first I guess), but I want to do right by the NESdev community. I'm sure with Broke Studio onboard we'll make something great! :D That development/release timeline you've got is pretty intense (a little over a...

When do you think the game will be finished? Also, just curious, what other GB titles did you work on? Were they similar to this in style?
