Why don't we have a SNES Game Jam?

I've been thinking about this since the N64 game jam a month ago or so. The n64 is extremely niche in terms of homebrew, yet it got a fair amount of applicants anyways. Why don't we do something similar? It would both bring the community together and invite new people into the SNES homebrew scene.

Right now, my program has an HDMA partway down the screen which turns both interlace mode and 16x32 sprite size on. I understand that this is an undocumented size but I thought it would help cut down on sprite count while still maintaining a good aspect ratio for the metasprite I need to display. In...

Thank you all for the help. I ran into an issue initially where the bottom half of my tiles wasn't displaying, but apparently the tiles are $200 bytes per row. Increasing the size of the char data to over $0200 bytes fixed this. Again, thank you - I've never done any programming so rewarding as this!

Ok, that makes much more sense with what I was reading. For some reason, the tutorial I followed made the size of the tile map dependent on the size of the characters. Thanks for the help.
