Re: Perfect FDS 2C33 audio when not using actual FDS disks?

No, don't destroy ram adapters just for the cables. I used this . They have 8 out of 12 contacts, which is enough for doing disk transfers. It's a terrible quality cable for video and deserves its one star rating, but works fine for this purpose. You will have to break it open and move some ...

Re: Perfect FDS 2C33 audio when not using actual FDS disks?

Ah, I see, OK. I don't think I could bear to destroy two ram adapter's cables to make one of those. To make my FDSLoader cable, I used a SNES AV cable, as the tip was 95% identical to the FDS RAM adapter's. Only problem is finding SNES AV cables with all 12 contacts! Anyone know where I could buy tw...

Re: Perfect FDS 2C33 audio when not using actual FDS disks?

I see the USB plug and the opposite end for plugging into the RAM adapter, but how does it plug into the drive for dumping disks?

Re: Terminator 2 acts unexpectedly on real NES

Yeah, it figures...I own nearly 500 NES games and not one of them was the common T2. I compared the rom to the released version rom I have, but Skrybe believes the differences I found might be due to a bad dump of the rom of the released version I have. The differences are in the middle of the rom a...

Re: Backing up NES/Famicom carts to FDS/game doctor format?

No FDS backup systems actually performed backups of carts. They could backup FDS games, but carts were hacked like crazy to work, sometimes shittily on them.

I've got an MZ-1500 and a QD for the MSX...there's a disk copying QD that came with the MZ, but I don't think I have a similar disk for the MSX drive. I've had a feeling that it may be as simple as unplugging the 12-pin connector from the MZ's built-in QD drive and connecting the FDS drive's interna...

Some Amstrad computers and some other European computers used QDs, usually as an add-on. The Sharp MX 700, iirc, used one as an add-on, and the Mz-1500 had it built in. People have been known to dump FDS disks with the MZ-1500, but I've never figured out exactly how...possibly just the copying disk ...

This table indicates that Vs. SMB1 is no different from SMB1 on an 8-level run, but a warpless run features six Lost Levels from SMB2 (J) that weren't seen outside Japan until Super Mario All-Stars. Wow, I can't believe I've never heard this before. Crazy! 24 years since I first played Vs SMB (and ...

I have a .Vs board hanging around. I think it was for Duck Hunt. I know, not much help. But yes, it's missing the PPU (the one for RGB modding).

Probably not helpful to you, but I figured I'd throw that out there.

Solder suckers ftw.

Heat the solder, and click the button. POOF, the solder's gone up into the sucker tube. My dad fixed TVs for 40 years and this was all he ever needed.
