I would like to make an addendum to my previous posts and say that if I get a tar.gz of the site's files and database, I can have a copy of this thing running in no time flat, for free, for a long time. (We are paid up on hosting bills for a long time and have funds in our account that will last lon...

...to add something since there seems to be a lot of discussion elsewhere of how to move things: - a tarball of the site files. (This is easy enough if it's stored sanely.) - mysqldump of databases (compressed) From there it's just extracting and changing the auth information and possibly the root p...

I'm still offering to host it on my DreamHost account (for free*). I've been using it for about 4 years for various projects (including very high-bandwidth areas) and... no real issues. (This offer sort of extends to a few other parodius things depending. Things like sl1me/blargg's domain, etc. I ha...

Let me be the first to outright state that any solution that does not satisfy the condition that the current forum must remain as live as it is now is no solution at all. Having had to re-start sites (even with archives...) is a massive pain and means that any time someone wants to reference that ol...

TCRF only successfully loads about 45% of the time, no hosting from their host, please. This is still an issue on your end. While the site is slow for others (what do you expect? It kind of outgrew the original space...) it doesn't have nearly the kind of issues that you have. ... But to expand on ...

I sense a pending invocation of Godwin's law. ObWikiLink: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godwin%27s_law (wtf, no matter how I edit this url, when viewed it gets truncated at the apostrophe, or the entire url is not clickable.) [It's a bug in phpBB 2. You have to change apostrophes to "%27". --MOD] Yo...

your name is similar to byuu which makes it hard to distinguish, please consider using "BLARRHGHGHGHHBFKHBFLBFKHBDFlbKHFDLBKHFBL" to make it easier.
if you can't tell these posts are sarcasm and the first one was also wrong, mistook him for byuu

My humor was spot on and yet unappreciated.

I never understood how tool asisted stuff could make the hero make super jumps or being teleported. Dodes some game have this kind of behavior when up+down or left+right are pressed ? To kill tool assisted stuff you could show directly the ending whenever up+down or left+right are pressed, so that ...

Just wanted to note that since all the buttons are latched simultaneously by the shift register, there's virtually no way a normal controller can register conflicting directions. All it takes is a low quality pad or a pad that does not work correctly and suddenly it is indeed very possible. Oh wait...

Bottom line: don't worry about it. And why emulator authors added that option is beyond me -- I'd love to punch them in the balls. Yes, because it's not like this kind of thing can happen on an actual NES (see the post about worn out pads). Jesus Christ you assholes are uptight over this shit. Oh b...
