If anybody has an idea of what I'm doing wrong, please don;t hesitate to say. :) :) I don't know, but that seems to be a very old version...here's the latest in Windows: NESICIDE Application version: v2.0.0 RELEASE NES Emulator Library version: v2.0.0 RELEASE Commodore 64 (VICE Interface) Library v...

Re: Trouble with nes.lib

Question is how do I compile a neslib? Do i just stick it through ca65 or ld65 or do i just put it through a special compiler? If I recall, the changes Shiru made to the lib weren't API-breaking thus the original nes.lib that comes with cc65 toolchain "works". I also found that the libs built with ...

Re: New to NES development and stumped

You would have to keep the documentation updated anyway, screenshot/videos or not, right? Also, an outdated picture is better than none, as long as you state what version of the software the documentation is for. :) Right. Like I said, it's a gravity well. I can't even gather energy to get started ...

Re: New to NES development and stumped

the one issue i have with it is that the documentation is pretty poor, but you can ask any questions about it here and get help, so not a huge deal. when our game is finished i am thinking about doing a few video tutorials on it. My main problem with documentation, and why mine is so poor, is I nev...

Does A/NES have a pNES plugin?

Re: hello, good day

https://coto88.bitbucket.io Welcome. I'm curious why your site strangely piecemeal regurgitates your Bitbucket repository content in a form that's much less than readable? In my browser only half of the code is visible and I'd have to scroll down to the end of the file, scroll to the right, and scr...

Re: Cracking Sound for APU

One technique I found helpful is outputting the sound to a WAV file. But not just the sound. With a WAV file you can create multiple channels of...anything. In one channel, for example, I output a ramp. Effectively a sawtooth that is just an integer I increment every time I create an audio sample. I...

Re: NESICIDE packages available

do you have a changelog anywhere? i think the version of NESICIDE i'm using must be 2 years old by now. Not really, no. I'm woefully inadequate when it comes to documention. I really need to work on that! my biggest request (if not already implemented) would be a way to collapse code (i guess it's ...

NESICIDE packages available

Automated builds of NESICIDE are available for Linux and OSX. As I wait for Travis CI support to complete their Windows CI environment to a point where it is usable for Qt projects, I've done a manual build/deployment of NESICIDE for Windows. All can be found here . At the moment there is a known is...

Re: Thinking about making an NES Z-Machine

Looking at the makefile, I think I know what's wrong under Windows: the Python executable on the PATH is called py.exe , not python3.exe . When I discovered this, I changed the makefiles of a lot of my other projects to compensate for this using an ifdef COMSPEC clause to detect the host OS, but I ...
