Microsoft's web site Oh, never realised it was that big... So far, I have used MinGW to compile C++. But some people on Slashdot insist that if you're using MinGW or another GCC-based tool to compile for Windows, you're Doing It Wrong™ I don't believe its doing it wrong at all. I guess by thier log...

But with SDL broken and Allegro broken, is there even a good framework that would save me from having to download the 1.5 GB Windows SDK and code in raw DX? SFML? If thats broken too...dunno what to do then. And mingw+ some other stuff should be fine for Windows development. (used it before for som...

I believe SDL 1.3 might use Direct3D instead -- which does VBL handling completely different (and more reliably from what I've been told by someone who does CUDA programming on a daily basis). Yes, SDL HG has Direct3D/OpenGL blitters. Haven't tried it yet, but it does indeed use at least D3D9 for b...

Funny how most GB games I tried sound nice with BL synthesis regardless for audio channels :P For my emu, definately gonna go with bandlimited. I just think it makes sense not to avoid it: Example: http://blargg.fileave.com/nes-emu/Zelda_OoA_clip.mp3 :P edit: Damn, Blargg's links are dead. Anyway, V...

Windows 7 test, and a rant about bsnes

Using this to test my Windows 7 installation. While I am at it: I wonder what the fuck is with the constant bans byuu and Fitzfuck make. Quite the duo they are. Especially when someone else (Themaister) does a better job at a emulator than the actual dev...ROFL. I do find that odd. On the other hand...

Hehe, so I am a idiot after all. Completely forgot that, so my GB BIOS loading is much more simplified than the GBC one.

Thanks.

GB BIOS mapping

Hi, I have a question about the *normal* GB BIOS, not the GameBoy Colour (which was documented on Costis's page along with his dump) I am not sure on how the GB BIOS is mapped into RAM. According to Costis's page... The boot ROM is mapped in the GB address space from 0×0000 to 0x00FF and from 0×0200...
