Re: FDS Stick issues on Sharp Twin AN-500B

Does the disk drive on your Twin work? I've had Twin Famicom systems that only worked with an external ram adapter connected to the Fdsstick. Adapter cable to Fdsstick would not work. The issue was bad ICs on the integrated FDS ram adapter on the twin. I even had one Twin were an external Ram adapte...

Re: Famicom controller in a NES

The easiest way is to get a US NES pad and remove the pcb with the cable attached and put them in the famicom pad casing.

Re: Trying to date a clone.

Okay, "trying to date a clone" made me think the thread was about something else entirely   As an totally off-topic joke, when I was a teen I had many weird dates! But I never tried to date a famiclone!  (transcribing for searchability) The ones I found illegible: SONY 8H04...

Loving that batman cart, I have a Mega Drive cart that looks like it, always though it was Castlevania.

Trying to date a clone.

Can anyone help me, got this really nice new clone, trying to figure out when it was made. I checked around on date codes, but I think I may be wrong.

Re: Perfect FDS 2C33 audio when not using actual FDS disks?

Has anyone connected a ram adapter to the cart port on a Twin Famicom and got the FDSSTICK or a FDS drive to work with it that way? I always assumed it would work but never tried it until now.

*Edit*

Tried another Famicom Twin and it worked fine, turns out my other Famicom Twin has a fault.

loopy wrote:Yes, you can upgrade by replacing the flash and using the newest software.
Micron or Winbond flash should work (like W25Q128FVSIG). It's larger than the 4M chips I used, but it can fit by bending the pins under the chip.
Has anyone tried this? I also have a 4M FDSStick I'd like to upgrade.

Re: Perfect FDS 2C33 audio when not using actual FDS disks?

New software update is available (Windows GUI). Supports larger flash, and boots to a menu (credit to deadbody for inspiration ;)). I'll throw the source up on github, it may take a few days to get it organized. Also, I got proper injection-molded cases done, so no more 3D printing. (They've been s...
