Re: FS306: Mixed CHR-ROM/CHR-RAM cartridge

One thing I find a little weird... In the picture "DuShenBack", the CHR RAM there appears to be a 256kibit (part number KM68257?). But A14 is tied to +5V, I can't see what happens with A13, and A12 connects to CHR ROM A12. So even though only 4 KiB of CHR RAM can be used to draw tiles on any given ...

Re: FS306: Mixed CHR-ROM/CHR-RAM cartridge

Many years ago, i have dumped this cartridge. here is the core code(chrram and chr rom) for vnes: //chr banks not 100% test. case 0xB000: c[0] =(V&0x0F)>>0;break; case 0xB400: c[0]|=(V&0x1F)<<4;break; case 0xB800: c[1] =(V&0x0F)>>0;break; case 0xBC00: c[1]|=(V&0x1F)<<4;break; case 0xC000: c[2] =(V&0...

Re: Is there a better way to generate 21.47727M waveform

Define "better". Are 21.477MHz crystals easily purchased? Are they series or parallel type? Can you instead just buy a crystal oscillator instead of the bare crystal? Is that not too much more expensive? (this was my 8253rd post, the programmable interval timer of the original IBM PC) It's very eas...

Re: Making a multicart that emulators will recognize (Paid?)

Multicart need a mmc, I think it's easy to support in emulator, but not support now,
because it's the homebrew mmc.

I have made a 2Gbit multicart.emulator only support show menu(if no homebrew mmc inculde in emulator).

Re: N64 homebrew cartridge can not save sram.

The x101 and x102 boot sectors can be just directly interchanged; the other three CICs each do something different and can't be easily swapped. Flashcarts like the everdrive64 reimplement the boot sectors in order to allow running everything as though it were on a 6102/7101. Maybe need a bootemu, f...

Re: N64 homebrew cartridge can not save sram.

If it were the wrong CIC, that would prevent booting altogether ... unless it both needs, and you have, a bad implementation of the 6105. (The hash of the first 4 KiB of the cart ROM has to match the hash presented by the CIC or else the PIF goes into an infinite loop. If the hash does match, then ...

Maybe it's depend on the CIC, but I'm not sure.

Re: N64 homebrew cartridge can not save sram.

Do you have the source for the logic in the MAX2 ? More-or-less the only other thing you could do would be to compare a known good save to the wrong values you're getting. This is core mycode: assign enable_rom = m_address[30:27]==4'b0001 ? aleh : 1'b1;//0x10000000 assign enable_sram = m_address[30...
