yeah possibly, i haven't opened any fami carts for a while so i need to get some practice in. I'm wondering if they are just straight nes-xx coded chips.
somebody looked up some recent sales on yahoo japan and it averaged out to around $100 so that seems more realistic than the one on ebay.

Re: Mapper Decap Project
I could send multiple AX5202P, if that's wanted. If I can find my MTPO cart, I could donate an MMC2. I've had the cart for decades, at some point it quit working (despite any contact cleaning). What seems weird is that I know of two other people who have dead Punchout carts. Could be a coincidence,...

Re: What causes Alfredo and Jigsaw to fail on most emulators?
There are a couple bytes that are "mastered" wrong in the roms for lack of a better term. Rom dumps can be patched to fix the bytes for emulators. There is an old thread around here where someone debugged it and provided the offsets. Its not all carts fyi, the earlier(?) release plays fine...

Re: Metal Slader Glory repro [solved]
It depends what exp port pins you connected for the audio mod but typically its done for pin 54 on the cart. Laser Invasion has this pin already, you only need to populate the missing resistors on the board to get audio out.

Re: Help dumping jim power nes copynes mini on NT mini noir
that looks like a mapper 268 board, as was used for the retrobit metalstorm release https://forums.nesdev.com/viewtopic.php?t=19706 the linked article has a picture similar to yours http://nerdlypleasures.blogspot.com/2020/01/product-review-retro-bits-metal-storm.html?m=1 so you need to dump for map...

Re: MMC5 Famicom on NES
Somebody (muramasa?) had designed a low profile adapter to accommodate the tall famicom boards in a nes shell. Ive used a few for mmc5 repros and haven't had any issues. I would bet they are better designed than 99% of your typical chinese product. Idk if they are still sold anywhere but I'd start t...

Re: VS. Excitebike Mapper Hack?
There was a guy who had done vs smb and i thought several other vs games and had patches up on a personal site. Have you run across that guy? IIRC excitebike was on the list, being either done or in progress.

Re: Bad SRAM chip ? Batman Return Of The Joker
The sram is an off the shelf part, you can find one on ebay or a suitable substitute is some cheap konami/ultra games. I hope that is your issue because ive seen a couple of these and heard of a few more with failed roms. If thats the case i should still have a couple sets of mask roms from when the...
