Re: Pokemon Yellow blank screen at random - Blinkin Light Wi

A new board came in last week. It had a different PCB layout completely too. This one works without any issues. I'm wondering how I can save the other one. The bad part was that they sent me just the adapter and pcb, so when I tried putting it in the same case it came in, the center circular spiral ...

Re: Pokemon Yellow blank screen at random - Blinkin Light Wi

Yea, it doesn't look to be the CIC or the adapter, as I tried the following:

-Old 72pin connector, so no BLW connector
-New adapter inside cart.

I get the same results. There are a lot of poor solder joints, so I'm expecting some of this issue to be from that. I'm asking for a replacement.

Pokemon Yellow blank screen at random - Blinkin Light Wins

So, I noticed that the Lugio's awesome work was released for a somewhat reasonable sum for play on a real NES system. I know Lugio is getting no royalties, but neither are the original coders/hackers, sorry. The cart came today, but it wouldn't play, resetting the system multiple times finally gets ...

Re: How to split file for UNROM repro?

So you REALLY shouldn't be making a repro of an expensive game. That's sketchy as balls, with a capital 'B'.

Re: Another new user with annoying questions! (Kazzo Program

Hi, When it comes to cartridge based games, I think you should do a little more research on chips etc. for the games you're looking into. Anything that needs a DSP-1 or above will not work on INL carts, unless he's fixed since the last time I messed with them. I know hacks and/or games that use the ...

Re: Building an adapter. Quick Question

Do not use a 3V part on a 5V system without adding voltage translation! It will damage the part and/or the system. There are no currently-manufactured 4 MiB 5V PROMs. You might be able to get some older ones (either New-Old-Stock or part pulls) but I'm not having much luck finding them. The largest...

Re: Building an adapter. Quick Question

Looks like both can do [4M x 8/2M x 16], so, I should be able to. Looks like I would need a 3.3 regulator for the ML eeprom. Thanks guys/girls.

Building an adapter. Quick Question

Looking to build a board for a cool new project. I'm not too familiar with chips, I usually use 27C322 chips, but I need something smaller to fit in the case I'm building, as the 27c322's height is too high. Is there any chip I could use with a lower height, flash maybe? The current PCB I have runs ...

Re: Kazoo cart, how to choose the correct INL-ROM circuit bo

Hi, i want to make my own repros and i have decided to avoid all the electronics, wiring, soldering issues by using the Kazzo cartridge as a programmer and a INL-ROM circuit board that http://www.infiniteneslives.com has for sale. Re: INL 12MB Snes boards not writing?

You need to de-interlace and apply the expanded patch to the Star Ocean over the De-Jap translation for the 12mb. You may need to solder on a replacement power regulator, if you killed it.

Looking to adapt some boards I have. Questions.

I had these made after about three "redos" with the design which work with a 27C322, after someone helped me originally design them. I'm looking to re-use these boards, but I'd like them to fit inside a case (even if I have to wire it in). Are there any other types of chips that could support a 2MB,...

Re: Star Fox 2 on Doom donor, problems

I did mine with a 27801 per SNESDEV. A TSOP is a waste for this game. My PCB was the racing game for the FX chip, I forget the name, but there's only like one.

I used the translate/fix patch for the rom, which translates, but also removes anything that doesn't work from the menu screen.

Re: INL FlashCart - New Host App (R11) + Firmware Rewrite (P

So, I'm getting the software 11.5 to run well now, but none of the roms that I've adding are working. I'm trying again with auto-fix and mirroring off since the Star Ocean file is 12mb. I'll post back later.
