Re: EverDrive N8 alleged mapper inaccuracies

I don't have a way to confirm or deny but I've seen reports on krikzz's forum that the pro might have issues on HDMI modded consoles

Re: Custom Shell for NES MIDI Hardware

Are midiNES carts all that common? I wanted one back in the 8bc days, and 8bc kindof died shortly thereafter... I wouldn't be surprised if there were still some original backers who didn't get theirs.

Re: Having trouble with my INL-Retro/Kazzo...

I find it easier to specify everything on the command line. eg:

./inlretro -s scripts/inlretro2.lua -c NES -x 256 -y 128 -w 8 -m mmc1 -d test.nes -a test.sav

Re: What are your favorite ways games have ended levels?

I think Cheetamen 2 has a bug where you can't progress past a certain level, but if you reset the game it sometimes starts up on the next level, or the one after that.

Re: Offline wiki

Tepples made a copy back in October, its not the most up-to-date, or the prettiest, but it works :D

I forget if he sent it to me through discord, so here's a link to my copy.

There is also a zip file if you want a copy for yourself.

Re: Graphical glitches on the Everdrive

The PPU bug it tests for is the color readback, it uses that for save states. In my limited experience, the PPU works "correctly" down to about 4V, but the colors it emits become very dark. I didn't notice any other problems when I powered my NES's +5V rail directly with a bench-top power supply. I...

Re: Graphical glitches on the Everdrive

Posting for posterity, since we were talking about this on discord. Recently bought the N8 pro, and tested the v1 and v2 test rom without issues. Couple things I did notice though... The pro has a test routine that checks for a "ppu vram" bug, but I'm not entirely sure what that bug entails. It also...

Re: how to help fight forum spam

I'm "so good" at those captcha things that the site thinks I'm a robot and needs to often do it 3~4 times. Hours of fun ^^;;; Often you look at the question and you are like "but this part could be what they asked" and just add it and it just fail since it would be how an automated way would find i...

Doesn't look like they ship to Canada, but I'll keep looking. Thanks.

Cheapest place to get stuff?

Hi, I hope this is the right category for this... I'm looking to get my hands on a NES and a SNES, some controllers, all the necessary wires, and maybe if I'm lucky, a couple games. All the online places I've looked for (ebay, amazon, kijiji, etc) want like $80 for a single console, which seems like...
