Re: SaveTheKuin: action-adventure

That would help a lot. It's exactly how I expected it to work actually. I actually really like the grid-based movement, btw. Honestly, not very far. I started a few very quick, casual plays. Went in the castle once, the inns once, to the left once and to the right twice. (In the exact opposite order...

Re: SaveTheKuin: action-adventure

Is there a way to change facing direction without moving?

I should have posted this a while back, but Chip Jockey released an album of the game music, including a (very good) track not in the competition build.

Re: 2018 NESDev Compo Rules/Guidelines

Thank you. A lot of great games this year. I'm happy to see Super Homebrew War buck the "multiplayer games don't get any love" trend of past years as well.

Re: We are Hejickle

I've been loving this game so much. I especially like how not all areas come up in every run. I haven't been this engrossed in a game for a long time.

Re: 2018 NESDev Compo Rules/Guidelines

How are we assessing for the multiplayer award? Am I overlooking something in the spreadsheet?

Re: Mesen - NES Emulator

This is already available as a built-in Lua script (based on tepples' image on the wiki), but it's definitely not "easy" to discover - I wouldn't be surprised if I'm the only one who knows about it. Maybe a shortcut key to switch between "overscan on", "overscan off" and "show safe regions overlay"...

Re: Gruniożerca 3 - The Great Cavy Clean-Up!

Thanks for checking it. I got your twitter message as well. Łukasz mentioned being aware of the Credits glitch but just not having time to fix it prior to submission. We spent the last week or so frantically compressing things while also adding other things. I'll either let Łukasz post about the var...

Re: Mesen - NES Emulator

Conversation from the Grunio thread: The row of garbage pixels at the top is intentional, and is in all of the games we've made so far. We render our picture starting one row of pixels lower. I'll have to let Łukasz chime in on the specifics, but from what I recall, it makes sprite drawing more conv...
