Re: NESMaker Donor Board Compatibility

I see, so new hardware is probably the best route after all. Could you recommend any suppliers of Mapper 30 and Mapper 2 512kb boards? I know INL makes some, but they're listed as out of stock or coming soon. I was told there were a few companies making Mapper 30 boards and many who make Mapper 2. M...

NESMaker Donor Board Compatibility

Many of you have probably heard of NESMaker. It's a WYSIWYG tool for creating hardware playable NES ROMs set to come out in the coming months after a very successful kickstarter campaign. One of the packages comes with an InfiniteNESLives kazzo usb flasher and reflashable cart for development; but, ...

Re: When Disabling the NES Lockout Chip Fails...

Thanks for the responses, although the first one got me stressed out for no reason.

The problem with the system is the connector, it's slightly curved causing the edges not to connect properly.

When Disabling the NES Lockout Chip Fails...

I have recently acquired a NES. At first there is flashing blue screen but the games load if you jiggle around the cart and find the sweet spot then push reset. Re: Raspberry Pi to NES for Online capability?

I've thought about this too. The way I envisioned it, rather than connecting to the expansion port, the Raspberry Pi would be housed inside the game cartridge and interface with its circuit board. If you remove enough components from the Raspberry Pi it will fit in a NES cart along with a USB wirele...

Some basic hardware questions.

I'm new to homebrewing and lack an understanding of the types of hardware and configuration needed to get a homebrew game running on an actual nes. I'd appreciate it if someone could answer my questions or direct me to resources that answer them. 1. I've purchased Repropak boards and Ciclone lockout...
