Re: Perfect FDS 2C33 audio when not using actual FDS disks?

The cable I make is very long (2 feet). So, "long" is not the problem. I tried your fds.exe, it is not work for me. It error everytime, never success. I use loopy fds.exe v2 at the moment. thanks for clarifying the cable length, mine is a little too short. Thanks for testing. does loopy' fds.exe v3...

Re: Perfect FDS 2C33 audio when not using actual FDS disks?

I tried the 10k resistor, didn't seem to work, not one successful read yet. I tried two PCs, different ports. I don't have a usb3.0(blue) port so I can't test that. Most of the time reading fails at the beginning of the disc (right before or after click?). I reinserted the stick each time. I'll try ...

Re: Perfect FDS 2C33 audio when not using actual FDS disks?

let us know the results. my problem is still unresolved, I suspect my drive. I checked my cable it seems to be good, continuity through the cable and connector, I checked from the pins to stick. I don't want to solder wires to it either  so I changed the src code to print out the values returne...

Re: Perfect FDS 2C33 audio when not using actual FDS disks?

help me troubleshoot this. I can't read disks. I get this error, I may have to change the src to get some more debug info. "Read error." "Failed." sounds like chris' problem from page 10, I tried different PCs and ports. I can hear the head moving. Here's the pinout for my cinpel cable. all mine are...

Re: UForce sensor problem?

yeah it seems to be working. I suspected it might be the wire from the uforce to the nes. I was hoping it was the emitter or detector maybe I could have just swapped them. I guess I'm going to try to trace the board and check it farther back that might rule out the ribbon cable. If anyone's interest...

Re: UForce sensor problem?

yeah the black ones(emitter) I can see IR light with a camera. yes as I said I have a cheap multimeter. I'll use kev's diagram to help explain the readings. (top) /------sensor 1-------\ |----------------------| |sens. 2------sens. 3| |----------------------| |----------------------| |sens. 4------s...

UForce sensor problem?

Hi I got a uforce but one of the sensors isn't working(top left sensor). I tested with the uforce test cart in analog mode(first 3 switches down)and all the sensors seem to work except that one. I looked at the emitter with a camera and it(and others) light up. Not sure how to test this thing, I hav...

Re: The game formerly known as Pong 198x

Remarks (1.1 played) Goal 2 doesn't seem to trigger if you let a point through. Couldn't replicate that bug? I might have fixed it. Occasionally one of the sparkles is not erased for a second or two after it gets left behind. Noticed that, Not really worried about it. Is it really annoying? On goal...

Re: Copying files without fails

you could use the command prompt(cmd.exe) and use "fc" it compares 2 files byte by byte. Just to see if your files are corrupted. Try this command on one of your copied files. This assumes your file is named "file1.avi" and is on c:\ and your external drive letter is e:\. "fc /b c:\file1.avi e:\file...

Re: The game formerly known as Pong 198x

I played 1.1. Control has noticeably improved. ... the CPU opponent never made a mistake. I was hoping I could confuse the CPU opponent with multiple bounces, but of the eight segments, none appear to produce an extreme enough rebound angle to cause the ball to bounce off both walls. hey thanks for...

Re: The game formerly known as Pong 198x

here's an updated version of my game. I'm calling it v1.1. I'd like for you guys to test it out and comment. I changed the style of the 1 player game. I broke the game itself into mini objectives. That progressively teach the mechanics and gameplay to the player. changes: Removed all Nintendo sprite...

thanks for splitting the thread, I added a link to the first post. And thanks tepples for the constructive criticism. I'm not replying to each right now. <Pino> not enough time to react to a service maybe I need to slow the ball down at first or work on the paddle controls. <Pino> no english (affect...

Re: Results and Downloads posted [2014 Compo]

well what do you know I learn something new every day, it's a drum break called Yeah! Woo! . This post makes so much more sense now. sounds like the original action 52 to me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WlYj_vlTuNo (this may be going off topic a bit.) Kind of goes back to parody in my mind. Mods...

Re: Results and Downloads posted [2014 Compo]

An old shareware Multimedia Fusion game named Ballmaster 2. Cool I might check it out to see what inspired Sliding Blaster. If you still want to reference some culture, maybe try some of the homebrew games from the first volume of action 53, there'll be fewer objections, and the authors are easier ...
