Re: DKC 2 Diddy Kong Quest hacks not working?
As an update, thanks to Markfrizb, it looks like the Retrostage PCB is just bad. As both hacks worked for him on other boards using the exact same files I used to burn the chips.

Re: DKC 2 Diddy Kong Quest hacks not working?
For custom SNES things, if someone doesn't explicitly state that they have tested in (at least) bsnes or (preferably) on hardware, it's been pretty safe to assume that if it's not working on hardware, that's on the creator of the program/hack, not you. Yeah I thought that might be a possibility too...

DKC 2 Diddy Kong Quest hacks not working?
Hey all, Someone recently asked me about some Donkey Kong Country 2 hacks to put on a cart. I never did a large SNES game but I looked it up and it seemed fine. But for some reason its not booting up, and im looking for some possibilities. The hacks are: Donkey Kong Country 2: Hard as Kongkrete and ...

Re: Crisis force. Vrc4 ram issue?
Well update, Im sure it was the 6116 ram I was using...
So I got a MB8416 200ns. Shouldn't be an issue cuz I saw some games used PRAM up to 200ns... and it doesnt work.
I think I needed MB8416A... ugh. So uh, yeah.

Re: Konami VRC mapper numbers? Revisions?
Ok cool, thanks! I thought that too, then I was helping someone make a Parodius. The PRG was 256k so i told him to wire A17 to the A17 line of the VRC4 and it still wasn't working. The wiring of everything else looked good but the VRC he was using ended in '84' instead of the '85' in bootgod and I t...

Re: Konami VRC mapper numbers? Revisions?
Yeah but I dont think you addressed my question. Within the same bank of VRC4e's, there are numbers stamped ON the VRC and they're different. For VRC4 theres 3 different numbers. Im not sure if that means the VRC mappers themselves are different or they're just the same. IE VRC4e "052784" ...

Konami VRC mapper numbers? Revisions?
Hey all... I have a quick question here that I cant seem to find the answer to. Perhaps its nothing. I was looking at the Konami VRC mappers. I notice how the VRC2 and 4 'versions' are dependent on its PCB board, because the VRCs pin 3 and 4 are different. I see that, for example, Bio Miracle, Gradi...

Winter Games both UNROM and SGROM
I was making a hack for someone and I saw Winter Games was an SGROM. I got a copy and it was an UNROM. Looks like this game comes in both UNROM and SGROM. For the PRG-1 revision it uses UNROM, and SGROM uses the original PRG-0. Why would they change to a less powerful mapper combination? Wouldn't it...

Re: Hi-Def NES HDMI Adapter for the NES
I thought you guys were using an Everdrive/Power Pak in the vids.
How would that be different from using the actual cart? I thought those flash carts just kept the games hex code.
(Altho those mmc5 games that it cant handle, thats different)

Re: Hi-Def NES HDMI Adapter for the NES
They did with the Power Glove. But most of the problems are something you'd find out immediately, not something like after 2hrs of game play.
BTW I think theres 677 licensed games, unless you're taking into account PAL games and stuff.
