Re: INL FlashCart - New Host App (R11) + Firmware Rewrite (P

Alright, so I'm back from hiding. If anyone is still interested and having problems with any of the features in the software, you have two choices; 1) PM me for a link to the pre-release version of the newly-written, fresh-from-the-ground-up, improved and better version of my software. I'll be rele...

Re: INL FlashCart - New Host App (R11) + Firmware Rewrite (P

Sorry, completely forgot about this... And I haven't been making repos as much as I used to. It's kind of expensive after getting the boards, cases, labels and boxes. Anyways, it was fairly straight forward for me. I re-flashed my INL board using the included firmware for the software. When putting...

Re: INL FlashCart - New Host App (R11) + Firmware Rewrite (P

Are you allowing the board enough time to erase the flash? If you aren't using INL's less user friendly program, the "wait time" of the newer program might not be allowing the programmer enough time to fully erase flash before it attempts to reprogram it. The RPG you are talking about is Star Ocean...

Re: INL FlashCart - New Host App (R11) + Firmware Rewrite (P

I've successfully flashed a copy of Dragon Quest I & Ii and Earthbound using this software. It was fairly easy to do. With that being said, it'd be nice if Paul would just implement better software support himself. If you don't mind me asking, how did you go about writing these games? The software ...

Re: Issue with INL TSROM board, wanted to make a SMB2j repo

Sorry, I just got this resolved today with Paul's help. The error I was getting meant the file I was writing was smaller then the actual memory on the board. I use a app I picked up on the NA forums to split and pad NES roms. It has almost always worked. Well after comparing the memory from the soft...

Issue with INL TSROM board, wanted to make a SMB2j repo

So after reading around and on the advise of Paul I picked up a TSROM board so I could make a repo of SMB2j based off of Loopy's MMC3 hack. I ordered the board with 512kb of PRG and 256kb of CHR flash rom. I use Paul's INL boards. I use a rom splitter I picked up from the Nintendo Age forums (which ...

SMB2j reproduction, question on batteries

Hey folks, how's it going? I recently bought a INL TSROM PCB so I could make a repo of SMB2j. I am planning on using Loopy's version of the game. I didn't realize it until now, but the game needs a battery for saving how many times you beat the game and gain access to other stages. How can I go abou...

Re: Any NES label printing services?

Thanks, but I don't want to do it myself. As it so happens I had their e-mail and it turns out the website is just down, he told me if I tell him what I want, he'll send me a invoice via PayPal and I can still get my order. Huzzah!

Any NES label printing services?

As title suggests I am looking for someone else who prints NES labels. The only resource I've been using, Retro Game Cases has suddenly went down and I don't know when they are going to be up again. I got a bunch of NES games I need labels for.

Re: Help with the Kazoo cartridge "INL Retro" Dumper-Program

I guess in the interest of keeping people informed who have been involved in this thread I decided to update it. I tried using a different computer and it in fact worked differently. I wonder if something happened that caused different results? I managed to erase the chips, although to be honest I d...

Re: Help with the Kazoo cartridge "INL Retro" Dumper-Program

Let me be perfectly clear, I didn't imply that your text file did not suggest removing the header. I was actually saying a old guide for solder method from another site did not say anything about the header. Sorry for the confusion. As far as doing what you've asked, I'll do it when I get home, as I...

Re: Help with the Kazoo cartridge "INL Retro" Dumper-Program

Thanks for the response. What you have listed is what I have been literally been trying to do. The entire erasing part goes exactly as you state it should, but as soon as I go to write the PRG file, I always error out. I have tried multiple files, I have tried files with stripped headers, I have tri...

Re: Help with the Kazoo cartridge "INL Retro" Dumper-Program

The 72 pin connector has been recently cleaned and boiled. every single game in my library plays without any hitch and without even pressing down upon. To be honest the first rom I burnt to a PCB, I didn't bother stripping the header and it worked perfectly fine. I didn't even think of it until I re...

Re: Help with the Kazoo cartridge "INL Retro" Dumper-Program

Okay so I checked the chip and it is indeed a 256K chip. I have tested the rom in a emulator and it works just fine with no issues. I read about stripping the header off the rom and did so, I am using software called NES Mapper, which shows information about the rom, compatible donor boards, allows ...
