Is my SNES dead?

So today I turned on SNES just like I usually do and to my surprise it started acting strange. The image was wobbly and dickering and such, so because I have an sd2snes I went right to those Tools and started checking things. This is my original SNES since the 90's when I was a kid. I remember runni...

If you made 10,000 original songs (tracks) then that is amazing!

GB Studio

I just found out about this and didn't see a thread about it. It seems to be a program where you can make your own GB games.

Re: Need sound help emulating NES on SNES

This is a very cool and useful idea. Since I have my SNES hooked up to my CRT via an S-video cable, I basically use my SNES for everything. Here were some ideas that I had: If the SNES bare can't do it, then the SA-1 probably can. SA-1 has come a long way recently. Also with the SD2SNES, you could l...

Re: Super City Mayor (GGJ2020 entry)

This is a very fun and cool little game. - Strong points - The game is easy to pick up and play and simple to understand. It's probably really fun with two players. - Weak points- The player feels like he is on a grid the entire time but also that the grid is hard to navigate on. The player controls...

Re: untitled platform maze game

Graphics and sound are good, but gameplay is a little slow. Like if the enemies move faster than you then it feels a little unfair.

Re: SD2SNES is dead; long live FXPAK

Instead of calling it the FXPAK call it the "Solid Drive 2 SNES" this way in the communities you can still say SD2SNES and people will still know what your talking about.

Re: Alien Isolation

I did a youtube video of my playing experience. If you really want to make the game a little more player friendly I would suggest the following: - Add more crates (hiding spots) - Maybe make the players run speed a little faster - Maybe add some powerups like (stun gun, food as bait, invincibility) ...

Re: New Super Mario Land

It seems like everyone got excited about this and I can't blame them because it is cool to see a full snes homebrew game released albeit a port of a gameboy game. My main problem that I have with the game is the lack of polish. Sure it's kind of fun to play this, but Mario's jump mechanic needs some...

Force Bot - A brand new game for the NES [homebrew]

Hi everyone, this is a very special project of mine as I've been wanting to make a NES game for a long time now and finally this dream has come true as the game is now 100% finished. The name of the game is Force Bot and you play as a small robot who pushes crates. Here is the title screen. https://...

Re: Why preserve video games?

Video game preservation is important because video games are a part of our culture and progressively show how our technology has changed over time. Also preserving something has more value in it rather than not preserving. You can always learn from the past, but if the past isn't recorded then you c...

You should make a music player out of it and have that wave animation fluctuate with the music.

Re: Nova the Squirrel 2 (WIP)

One thing that I found is that if you fall down the screen such that you re-appear at the top of the screen. Then when you swing your tail, no you longer shoot that star out.
