Re: ETROM / 256k SRAM problems. Need advice
Thanks I found that post earlier and its working well now. I guess if I had bothered to check the datasheets for the sram I would have found that issue earlier, lol.

Re: ETROM / 256k SRAM problems. Need advice
I'm working on this right now using a FC etrom board. The game works just fine but it will not save. After reading the game now required a 32kB sram I initially tried swapping wram-0 ( battery backed sram) , than wram-1 as well (I pulled the sram chips from snes carts.) I tried swapping battery powe...

Re: Strange issue with PIC16F630 and SuperCIC
Tested the same on another cpu-01 and a gpm-02, it would appear the chip itself is at fault.

Re: Strange issue with PIC16F630 and SuperCIC
I have a couple other modded consoles right now I will test with them to try and confirm if the snes is to blame or the PIC itself, I hadn't considered the console itself.

Strange issue with PIC16F630 and SuperCIC
I recently modded one of my SFC with the super CIC mod and in game reset. Everything seemed to work fine including Starfox2 and mario kart so I was a little surprised when I tried SMRPG and nothing. ???? I tested RPG in an stock SNES and SFC with no issues so the game is fine, though I cleaned it an...

Unpopulated Gyromite PCB
I've only heard of this one other time, recently infact, see John Riggs on youtube. Anyway I just picked up a copy of Gyromite with nothing on the PCB at all. Did this happen often ? For some reason the weird part to me is the fact it's an NROM-128 not a 256 board?? http://img.photobucket.com/albums...

Re: Are new pin connectors worth it?
The new ones are garbage, no gold plating on the contact points, fail very quickly. It's amazing how well a nearly 30 year old one can work after having the pins re-bent, I've got a dental pick that works perfectly for all the pins. I try not to push the game down after that, it does help to do the ...

Re: building a snes cartridge
Ok, I thought that would be the issue. Sounds like I'm better off to wait for the 27c801's to arrive.
Thanks

Re: building a snes cartridge
Is there a reason roms bigger than 512k do not work with this chip? is it the missing a19 pin? I am using a svhc-1a3b test board and can get f-zero and smw working but not roms bigger than 512kb like zelda or RTDL etc , rtdl boots up but no graphics after a garbled splash screen, just clear sound. I...

Re: AOROM, TLSROM, SLRROM, SKROM, UOROM pinouts
Ok first post here so be gentle with me. I just got my aorom working today with battletoads loaded on a 29c020. I'm sure something could be wrong but this is what got it working 100% stable for me. Lift pins 1,2,24,30,31 connect pin 1 to hole/pin 32 pin 2 to hole 24 pin 24 to hole/pin 16 pin 30 to h...
