Re: Ling Jie Hu Fa - Shock/ 靈界護法 - Shock (Unl) Crash
Gotcha, thank you for the answer. That's unfortunate but I will mess with the ROM hack then.

Ling Jie Hu Fa - Shock/ 靈界護法 - Shock (Unl) Crash
Found another crash in yet another Waixing unlicensed game. The game seems to crash every time after beating stage 2, it goes to the map screen between levels then crashes when stage 3 should load. Doesn't seem to be a region issue like the last game I asked about. So I'm not sure if the game is act...

Re: Xi Tian Qu Jing II (Unl) Crash Issue
is it possible to "easily" fix this so the game works, or is it not worth anyone's time? Attached please find my NTSC compatibility patch. Removes the crash before the boss fight, plays music correctly at 60 Hz, and removes the setting of the PPU Slave Mode bit. Wow, thanks so much, now t...

Re: Xi Tian Qu Jing II (Unl) Crash Issue
Great, thanks for the answers. I actually had tried it in PAL mode before and the same thing happened, but putting it in Dendy PAL mode it works.

Xi Tian Qu Jing II (Unl) Crash Issue
Wasn't sure exactly where to post this but had a question about this game. I was looking at speedrunning this but unfortunately the game crashes when entering the transition to the bosses. Mesen gives an "Invalid OP Code - CPU Crashed" message, and it also crashes on MiSTer, FCEUX and Ever...

Re: Mesen - Emulator
Not sure where to post a bug I noticed. I was practicing a shmup, Katakis 3D on GBC, and noticed there was an effect that doesn't show up on Mesen. Here is a comparison clip, on the left is Mesen 2.0.0, right is MiSTer. The boss has a fire attack that appears after the eyes flash, but it does not ap...

Re: Irritating Ship - a precision movement game
Very interesting, thanks for all the clarifications. I think in general it ramps up pretty nicely in difficulty. It can be frustrating but only because you have so much control, so when you fail it's always your own fault, at least that's how I feel. I think the only thing I would potentially want i...

Re: Irritating Ship - a precision movement game
Really enjoy this game. The control of the ship is excellent, and the accuracy of the ship hitbox is amazing, both together make it really fun.
I managed to get a 4:58 so far, vid if you wanna check it out, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGBprGh_gKA

Re: Nalleland
Found another really minor glitch, if you pull the pin out of a target before a gate fully opens, the gate will close but the bottom tiles of the gate will have no collision and you can just walk thru. Doesn't really effect anything, but figured I would mention it Edit: this game is too fun, I can't...

Cool, I'll check out the new version too. But yeah, I found a pretty big skip, haha, but it's kind of hard to do

Re: Nalleland
Awesome to see another release of this, it's really fun. My best run so far has been 1:09.50.
I recorded myself looking for glitches, the stuff I thought was notable is listed in the description hopefully some of it is useful, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ofk_nGKNmQ

Re: Nalleland
I really like the mechanics in this, definitely fun to run around and use the pin, very unique. I hope you continue and create a full game out of it. A couple things I noticed, first I tried it on Everdrive and it did not work, only gave me a gray screen, so I guess it's some sort of mapper issue? A...

Okay, so it's just accelerating faster now, makes sense. I could tell something was different because I was bumping into stuff I normally wouldn't when I was playing thru it
