Re: Mesen-S - SNES Emulator

I don't know much about software licenses, but I don't think that "stealing" a little bit of code is such a big deal, as long as you're not depriving the original owner of anything as a consequence. It's not like Sour became a millionaire because of a few code snippets he didn't come up with all by...

Is this emulator also a standalone GB emulator? I've tried loading GB games, but they aren't recognized and I can't seem to find anything in the documentation that sheds light on the subject.
You have to use the development build: https://ci.appveyor.com/project/Sour/me ... /artifacts

Re: Mesen-S - SNES Emulator

I have a lot of downtime at work and I'm about 1/3 done bugtesting your core against the library. The bugs I've found so far are here . I'll test your other cores eventually, too. It takes about 80 man hours to go through a 3000 game library, which I did twice for bsnes. wow, thats really cool. tha...

Re: blargg's SPC test ROMs

oh, so mesen s doesn't emulate this game yet and that's why spc_dsp6 is working. :)

Re: blargg's SPC test ROMs

you did. now i know what's going on. spc_dsp6 and spc_timer failed since bsnes 110.1. https://github.com/byuu/bsnes/commit/6e ... f7fc06a969

but spc_mem_access_times and spc_spc... i have no idea. even a pretty old version failed.

edit
they work now with bsnes.

Re: blargg's SPC test ROMs

- spc_dsp6.sfc
- spc_mem_access_times.sfc
- spc_spc.sfc
- spc_timer.sfc
---

did byuu change something? mesen s is the only emulator who passed all tests.

Re: HDMA enable at HDMA trigger

Hardware and Mesen-S: https://streamable.com/7h41o

Snes9x v1.60, higan v106 and bsnes (Fast PPU on and off): https://streamable.com/0rsy3 (0:25)
Does that mean mesen-s emulate this correct, or is this more something like "timing is off enough that the game starts working again"?

Re: Save State/Load State GUI in emulators...

I love Mesen-S approach: You start the emulator and you can immediately load the last save state. Reduce the size of the picture so you can see your last 10 save states or so and it would be perfect. :)
