Re: Falling Tiles

My current record (on emulator - FCEUX) is 277 in hard mode: https://forums.nesdev.com/download/file.php?id=16939 I see your 277 on hard mode and respond with 1001 on hard mode. FallingTilesFinal-0.png Woaw, I'm honestly very impressed! The game was already very fast around the 250 mark, I can't im...

Re: Falling Tiles

Just tried it on emulator, and woaw, congratulations, this is a very unique and polished entry! The gameplay is simple but solid, and I like how you managed to add some extra touches (the star that can restore a life, the "nice" when a high score is made, etc.). Even on emulator, it does get challen...

Re: Falling Tiles

Very interesting idea, it's cool to see a Zapper game for the compo, that's original! :)

I'm looking forward playing it!

Re: Compo Entry coming soon: NNNNNN

Woaw, impressive entry! Thanks for sharing. The game is cool but sooo challenging! (my current record is 7 seconds, after many many deaths). This is the kind of game best played in a party, perfect to make a tournament :). What are the next steps / additions planed? My only feedback would be to mayb...

I initially was thinking we would keep it the same, but how would everyone feel about pushing it forward another month?
As I'm learning how the NES works with my entry, an extra month to make it happen would obviously be appreciated ;)!

New SNES game: Yo-Yo Shuriken [Cartridge+ROM]

Hi everyone! After a long and hard work both on the software and hardware front, I'm happy to announce you the release of my first SNES game: Yo-Yo Shuriken . https://img.itch.zone/aW1hZ2UvMjU4OTcwLzEyNDI0NDMuanBn/315x250%23c/lGkjHF.jpg Defend the dojo! Re: My first nes game! (DemonDistrict)

I managed to survive too! Congrats on the game, it's a really cool adventure game. I like the overall "end of the world" mood to it, and the puzzle were logical but still a bit challenging. The exploration part was well balanced too IMHO. An ending cutscene or more details about what happen next in ...

Re: 2019 competition?

Wonderful, thanks for the info!

I'd try to make something then :)
And I'd follow your tutorials (already started), as it'll be my first NES work!

2019 competition?

Hi!

As I don't see a post launching the 2019 edition of the NESdev competition, I'm wondering: will it happen in 2019? Or is the event cancelled this year?

I really hope it will take place this year too! :)

Re: New game released: DMG Deals Damage! [Cartridge+ROM]

Thanks! I really love the GB (the DMG was my first console!) so I do intend to keep making games for it (among other retro consoles)!

Re: New game released: DMG Deals Damage! [Cartridge+ROM]

Thanks! It's actually a 32kb game (no bank switching to be able to release it on cartrdige), so yes, it does look like earlier GB games :)

New game released: DMG Deals Damage! [Cartridge+ROM]

Hi Everyone! As you may know, this year the Game Boy console turned 30! To celebrate the 30th anniversary of our beloved Game Boy, I made a new game titled "DMG Deals Damage." https://img.itch.zone/aW1nLzE5NjU1NjkucG5n/original/p2HOiY.png You play as a Game Boy who must smash other mobile devices wh...

Re: Rodas Cross: ARPG for the SNES

Thanks a lot for releasing a demo! I've been playing it for about 20 minutes, and here's my feedback so far. First of all, congratulations for the project. I'm totally impressed by your demo, it feels like the basis of a commercial-grade game (much like Anguna on GBA). The graphics are beautiful, th...

Re: Was Hong Kong 97 a homebrew?

The story behind the game is very interesting. I think we can consider it a homebrew, like many other pirate / unofficial releases! I can understand the author no longer wants to talk about the game (and we should respect that), but I think it belongs to the overall history of video games. Today, al...
