SNES Wincupl ATF15xx Repro cart

Hello everyone, I'm looking for some help with wincupl. I want to build a repro cartridge for the snes and I want to use a cpld instead of 139 decoder and 257 mux. I've already built custom cartridge for snes repro, even multigame cart, but this time I want to make it lighter and differently. I want...

SNES: communication between ROM and PIC

For SNES: I'm searching a way to use a Rom address line to interact with a PIC MCU. I'm wondering if writing to a particular register could make an address line pulse. I'd like to establish a link between the rom and a pic so I may count I want to write a homebrew menu to count how many time the d-p...

Re: snes multicart game menu

I recently come across this source code: http://www.romhacking.net/documents/633/ I'm currently able to edit the text, so its a good start. But i'd like to know a bit more about the bank address bits to use. Idealy i'd like to avoid to patch the roms. I'm currently working on a multicart revision th...

Re: Best PCB FabHouse for flex PCB

I can redesign it and rotate my concept but bare minimum would be around 80mm x 50mm.

Best PCB FabHouse for flex PCB

Hello guys, I'm currently looking for a fabhouse that have a reasonnable price for Flex PCB. I've used PCBWay for a long time and was happy with prices, but for flexible pcb I find them super expensive 138$ for only 5 prototype its expensive. Adapter is only 140mm x 50mm, two layers, 6mil spacing an...

Re: 16 bit to 8 bit multiplexers options (other than 74xx257

Thank you guys for the ATF1502 suggestion. It seems an interesting solution. It have 32 i/o and is 5v tolerant. I think it would be enough for my needs with some discrete logics for lo/hi mapping, rom/ram banking, etc. I havent read completely the datasheet yet, but I'm wondering if it have some sim...

Re: 16 bit to 8 bit multiplexers options (other than 74xx257

I was considering going one level up with cpld sometime and using level shifting 3v to make cartridge safe. I could definitely save money and space, but always feared the programmer socket price. I only have a qg4x and a xeltek superpro 610p. Any suggestion on cpld models or family to start digging ...

16 bit to 8 bit multiplexers options (other than 74xx257)

Hello guys, I'm currently looking to update some of my schematic with smaller components. For a long time I've been using 2x257 mux to convert 16bit eeprom to 8bit eeprom. Its for snes custom carts. It is working fine but in some complexe build with lot of IC when 8bit conversion + mix mapping + mic...

snes multicart game menu

Hello guys, I was looking for some help or advice on how to create a multicart menu. I'm currently working on a 4-in-1 game (Ancient Stone tablets) and instead of using LED to indicate wich chapter I'm in, a boot menu would be nicer. I know it can be done on a custom board (wich I can definintely ma...

Pardon my ignorance but how can I do that? Changing my decoder input#1 I got different result First I connected it to cart edge pin 46 (A21) and I got Interface, Register and Rom errors Then I connected it to cart edge pin 47 (A22) and only got Register and Rom error. I was able to boot the game a b...

Re: Emulating A21 on 1DC0N or 2DC0N cx4 pcb (32mb romhack)

Here is some update. I've been able to have the rom to boot on the cartridge in lorom mode. But when it load it shows interface register, immmediate register and immediate rom error. When I try to lunch the game, the capcom logo and intro music starts.. then nothing... I get black screen, then a pur...
