Re: MMC3 on FPGA?
To get a board with the COOLBOY or MINDKIDS MMC3 clones "SMD132" or "SMD133" chip (not a blob) from AliExpress, search for 150 in 1 cartridges with save, usually it's have Kirby's Adventure in the game list and the seller guarantees that it has the save function.

Re: EverDrive-N8 Bank Switching issue
Are you considering Bus Conflicts when doing the bank switch? It's just a shot, I don't know how the Everdrive handle it...I made several games using UxROM and didn't face this issue.
EDIT: fixed typo Bug to Bus

Famicom AV Mod video filter
I have a Famicom (HVC-002) with an AV mod (not made by me). It's works fine but the video output doesn't look like an original NTSC as the NES or Famicom AV, it looks like a Super Eagle filter. It's is possible to keep the mod but remove this filter? Thanks in advance http://ibb.co/PgcpWt4 http://ib...

Re: Need guidance with nes to snes.
Thanks for that info dougeff, but is the snes able to select which part of the 32x64/64x32 screen to have displayed? The nes $2000 #2,#1,#0 bits select which $20/$24/$28/$2C Nametable to display, does the snes have the same thing? You select the Name Table (or Map) by the $2107-$210a registers for ...

Re: Compiled stack proposal
I made something like this once, it's called pa65.
I have not yet publicly exposed it because it lacks a good documentation.
If you want to try, here it is https://github.com/Parisoft/pa65

Gilbert, thanks for share!
Pokun, thanks for the translation!
I think that VCS stands for Atari Video Computer System, the Atari 2600 one.

Re: What code editor do you use?
I'm using VSCode with this extension for ca65.
What bothers me is that it don't have labels/symbols references, but it's ok.

Re: Nested loops and working with X and Y
To store the X/Y registers into stack, you must transfer it to A and then push to stack: ; Push X txa ; transfer value in X to A (A = X) pha ; to stack ; Pull X pla ; pull the value from stack into A tax ; transfer value from A back to X A better approach is to store the value in a variable in RAM (...

Re: Sin table and fixed point arithmetic in C
@wonder , just do a rule of three:
Code: Select all
+------------+-------------+
| real value | fixed point |
+------------+-------------+
| 1.0 | 256 |
| 0.5 | 128 |
| 0.1 | 26 |
+------------+-------------+
