Re: DSi unlaunch (bootcode exploit)

I haven't yet tested if it's now working with Memory Pit exploit. Could somebody check that? The thing that didn't work was that Memory Pit did still execute ARM7 code in VRAM while already having started the ARM9 unlaunch entrypoint, and crashed when unlaunch started to remap & initialize VRAM. No...

Re: DSi unlaunch (bootcode exploit)

How is unlatch currently saving hotkeys? Because it's happening that some people get wifiboot set as default option with no keys when fresh installing unlaunch (and most of the time they think their console is sort of bricked)

Re: DSi unlaunch (bootcode exploit)

Btw. I had a look at the pit.bin file, but I didn't figure out what makes it crash. Is it header size being bigger than 18h, or something else? Oh, and what is the difference between the camera versions/regions? I guess they do merely need different offsets... if the offsets are only a few hundred ...

Re: DSi unlaunch (bootcode exploit)

So, the latest news, thanks to zoogie we managed to dump the nand (as he already said), i tried to manually isntall unlaunc on it and it seems to work just fine. I also noticed a thing, while in the system menu, the emulator drops some fps, maybe because it has to print chinese fonts? idk. If you ne...

Re: DSi unlaunch (bootcode exploit)

The original release seems to have no info at all about possibly supported firmware versions & regions. For the regions, it would be interesting if it were working in china (if somebody ever finds a chinese DSi for real). For versions, the current exploit seems to work only on newer firmwares. Hmmm...

Re: DSi Wifi rev-engineering

Okay, so it's working, except that uploading doesn't work. Which was the main purpose. But yeah, better than nothing! Hmmmm, and the nocashio driver - that was for parallel port uploads on windows XP and up, but wasn't intended to be used when selecting wifi as upload method. But yes, now that you ...

Re: DSi Wifi rev-engineering

Got the wifiboot v2.5 update finished & uploaded. http://problemkaputt.de/wifiboot.zip (binary and source code) I hope the DSi code is now able to connect to most or all access points including such with mixed TKIP+AES ciphers. ;wifiboot v2.5 - 26 Jan 2019 ; - dsi-wifi: detects supported cipher/com...

Re: DSi Wifi rev-engineering

Ops, sorry for the misunderstanding, yes, I'm only seeing those 2 lines, also another thing I noticed, in my router settings, when I'm selecting the network encryption, it's actually selected "wep+wpa2" (that's pretty weird tho) Apparently I remembered wrongly (when I wrote this message I couldn't ...

Re: DSi Wifi rev-engineering

Ok, i finally found some time to test again the connections, but still had no lock, before i connected using the wps configuration, so i thought that might have been the issue, and thus i redid the setup in the "normal" way, but still no luck, it remained stuck on connecting. Then i receched the con...

Re: DSi Wifi rev-engineering

I tested with all the network encryptions available for my router, so WPA, wpa2 and WPA+wpa2, and I also manually put the channel to 1, to be sure it was in the supported range, but I still had no success in connecting, in the dsi settings it put all the passwords (the one for WPA too) as aes and no...

Re: DSi Wifi rev-engineering

Ok, i tested again, both with my home network after removing the duplicate entries and also using my phone as hotspot with wpa2 protection, and in both the cases it got stuck at "connecting". As for your message, i really didn't notice it, as i come to the site after the mail notifications, and i re...

Re: DSi Wifi rev-engineering

Weird, I tested the connection before launching wifiboot, and I connected fine, could it be that it read the network info from the saved wep networks? I'm not sure but if iirc I had the first network configured as open with that ssid, maybe it read from.there instead of from the advanced network set...

Re: DSi Wifi rev-engineering

I tried the new wifiboot, and even if the ds seems to recognize the network, it won't connect. I attached the output of the program.
