mapper 185, Banana (J)

Does anyone fully understand this mapper ? I've currently implemented it like this: Odd writes (1st write, 3rd write, 5th, 7th, etc): make ppu pattern tables point to a dummy rom containing the data that was written. eg. write 0x13 to the mapper, and reads from the ppu pattern tables will return 0x1...

What about Super Mario Bros 2 ? That game worked perfectly fine here when I had preliminary MMC3 emulation (without interrupts).

The titlescreen in Romancia looks fine here, but it's got problems in-game: the statusbar is garbaged, and scrolls along with the playfield.

The ones I've found and put in my emulator: case CRC32_DRAGON_BALL_SHEN_LONG_NO_NAZO_J: /* should be vertical mirroring */ case CRC32_LINUS_MUSIC_DEMO_PD: /* typo in NES^Z */ case CRC32_MACH_RIDER_JU: /* should be vertical mirroring */ case CRC32_PIPE_DREAM_U: /* should be mapper 3: CNROM */ case CR...

You're omitting the high nt bit.
In your case it would be something like nt=(temp>>10&1)|(address>>10&2)

Thanks, though it didn't have effect on the problems in my MMC3 emulation (the bottom part of the screen shakes by 1 line when vertical scrolling is used, eg. smb3 statusbar when you're flying)... *scratches forehead* I'll figure it out.. sooner or later ;p

And 1 from me too, which has probably been overlooked in the 'some questions' thread :P nesdev wiki MMC3: "The MMC3 scanline counter is based entirely on PPU A12, triggered on rising edges (after the line remains low for a sufficiently long period of time)." Has it ever been measured how many cycles...
