Re: CopyNESW bugs / feature request thread ...

2 users are trying to backup prototypes on NintendoAGE. 32KB PRG, 32KB CHR. I checked the source for them and looked at T*ROM source. There was a bug fix note for the board they needed, but they're still having problems, so I doubt it was fixed. Anyone able to edit the copynes source and fix said d...

Cool, may I ask how you managed to get that? Did Mitsubishi hook you up?

Re: Family Trainer 3: Aerobics Studio - Mitsubishi M50805

The only thing I was ever able to find out about the chip was this short spec sheet: http://www.datasheetarchive.com/shortfo ... 5XXXP.html which was the only reason I knew, for instance, that it has 960 bytes of ROM

Re: Holy Diver dump help

I dumped my retail copy using JF-16 plugin: http://bootgod.dyndns.org:7777/profile.php?id=4038 which works fine. Check the PCB on the database, does the the prototype use the same hardware as mine?

Re: iNES 48 / J9100287A / TAITO-TC0190FMC+PAL16R4

Not quite OT but this reminded me of a peculiar situation with one of Taito's games: [url=!! Jinsei Gekijou 2[/url] One cart uses the TC0190FMC (m33) and one uses the X1-005 (m80) and they share the exact same ROM. I never did bother poking into the ROM, I would guess it does some sort of detection ...

Interesting, I've never seen a packaged 129 yet. Must be pin compatible with the 163 at least. Still have yet to see one labeled a 106, which all m19 games used to be referred as... Would be great to see those docs translated to english. Regarding your PM about mapper 19/210 and mirroring, may as we...

It's the same as the US version: http://bootgod.dyndns.org:7777/profile.php?id=2079
Though it's possible a later revision exists that just hasn't been dumped yet.

Yep Ganbare Goeman Gaiden has real SRAM, guess I'm not sure why byuu brought it up considering that. A while back I traced out the LS chips, trying to figure out an emulation bug that turned out to be an actual game bug: http://nesdev.com/bbs/viewtopic.php?t=6584 Looks like your right about it being...

If you remember any, er, tricks from the first level of Double Dragon, try using them in Abobo's game before they end up in this thread. http://nesdev.com/bbs/viewtopic.php?t=7701 Heh when I played this a couple weeks ago I instinctively went straight for that wall, just like I do everytime I play ...

Re: VRC IV pinout

What's funny about VRC2 is that it seems to have an microwire eeprom interface built in (93xx eeprom type) at the four pins marked "NC" at the wiki. Board number 351179 (Jarinko Chie as example of VRC2 cart I analyzed) I suspect it maps that microwire EEPROM interface to WRAM address space. Anyone ...

Actually that wiki page only seems to cover adding a holder to boards that were designed for batteries to begin with, which TSROM is not. I'm pretty sure you need to add some diodes and capacitors as well. I think someone has made a post about modding TSROM in the past.

Ah it looks like the HES pack uses extra bits beyond what the AVE carts used. So be easy enough to modify plugin to accommodate it. I'll try to get you something this weekend to try out. BTW, do you have a pic of the HES PCB?

At a quick glance, GG2 plays with the $6000 register, but it doesn't get caught up in a endless loop or intentionally crash based on result. Does Contra (J) play OK in RockNES with writes to $6000 blocked? I would think not...

A lot of web sites block inbound links directly to image files to fight bandwidth abuse, but not to an HTML page that describes the image (an "image page"). But for some reason, NesCartDB block inbound links even to image pages. You can't link to an image.php page? Been a long time since I messed w...
