1. Yep, that's it exactly, d0 is OR'd against the return. 2. On power on, the latch is not set, so yes $6000.d0 is 0 Zepper: on second look, it is not always the high-byte of the address returned in the $6xxx region. $6000-61ff returns $60 or $61 (if latch set) $6200-63ff returns $62 or $63 (^) ... ...

Tested on my Contra cart, d0 does get latched when writing 6000-6fff, there is no effect on the 7000-7fff region, even when writing to that region. The WRAM area returns open bus normally, when d0 is set, everything in the 6xxx region reads open bus OR'd by 1 You need any other tests done, let me kn...

OK everyone, we can stop flagging the Fantasy Zone profile now :) It has been brought to my attention (thanks Zeromus) that this game actually programmed to work with both the Sunsoft-1 and Sunsoft-2 chips, so it is not wrong to have the game set to m93 (but it should also work as 184). I still stan...

Operation Wolf versions are identical ROM data:

SL1ROM
SLROM

I remember expecting them to differ because the SLROM CHR was stamped as a higher version. Apparently changing ROM package warranted a new version number in this case. There are a few other cases like this as well.

Hmm and I thought mine was common version. I never traced it out or anything, but note that on the 2.0 one also has a PIC chip on it which I'm guessing does the work. Both my toasters already had CIC disabled when I got that, so I don't know how well it works compared to methods used by other carts.

I recall hearing about this before, yeah surprises me too. Yours has a manual switch for turning on the CIC defeater circuit whereas the 2.0 one is automatic. Supposedly there are Camerica carts that have the auto circuit as well with no switch though I have not seen one. I saved the pics, I'll get ...

Actually could you try playing this in Nestopia, I played for a bit and encountered no problems even on levels that are supposed to glitch like act 9 / bridge level (which I can't pass :/) I think you are running into PAL/NTSC timing issues and the emulators you tried just aren't good enough. I was ...

Yes it has been dumped 2x in there. The (x !) in the ROM info indicates how many times it was actually dumped. Undumped profiles such as yours do not increment that count.

I will contact the dumpers to investigate further. Seems very odd that it would be bad, it's a very standard pcb.

What is the CRC of your dump? Been dumped a couple of times into nes database, if it matches the one here it should be good.

guys, is there anyone who has dumped the games which's on console , before?so that i can send mine to him. bootgod i wish u can. Not likely, only way I'd even attempt it is if it had a packaged ROM (i.e. not epoxy glob) or maybe if the globbed-rom was isolated onto its own mini-pcb with accessible ...

Looked deep into the email archives and found a couple blurbs about this Namcot stuff from Martin (nestopia author) Yeah, about the Namco 106/163 issue. It looks like I acted too fast. I revisited my code and tested it again and much to my surprise, the games that were supposed to glitch seemed to w...

Some time ago I remember Family Circuit 91 coming up in chat with nestopia author. I know this game originally used mapper 19, then was changed to 210 (which was thought to be a slimmed down version of 19 and not completely compatible), but then it was changed back to 19 at some point. Anyways, I th...

Oh yeah, if your using a clone system, I highly doubt you could use CopyNES with it. Like Memblers said, the CPU must be removable in order to interface with CopyNES and this is not the case with any clones I've seen. By adapter, I mean a 60-pin to 72-pin cartridge adapter which allows you to use fa...
