Now without joking it's just a revision of the original, it seems. I don't know why it's revision B, but the chip is SQF-FF-1 PRG, it should be r...

Disk Writer (FDS)

Some FDS games like Donkey Kong Jr. were exclusively available in the Disk Writers: they aren't sold in boxes, and can only be "downloaded" from Disk Writer Machines

I'm looking for a list of all games specific to the Disk Writers

Woulld appreciate your help

See you

I recommend you not to patch your original roms, instead use nestopia's patch on the fly. All you need it the ips filename to match the rom filename, and put it in ips folder. This way you can both keep your japanese roms clean and enjoy the translation

It seems that those hundred (thousands?) spammers are currently mischiving on these boards. I have received a lot of notifications for replies that got deleted lately  Your spambot control check at registration is too poor. On my boards, I have installed a simple control based on random questi...

Most 'Game Collectors' are jealous zealot pussies.

Which FDS copier? Just about every has one mode of operation, the one which fails to copy undeclared files. One could get around this by modifying the original disk to the proper file count using Tonkachi editor, copy the disk, and return the original count to both the original disk and copied disk...

Well, I'm not Marty, but I can answer your question - yes, that "DUMMY" is on the real disk. It is a form of copy protection. At the beginning of each disk/side, there is a file counter that indicates how many files are on the disk (that is the first byte your hex editor found to be different). Thi...

Question to Martin F. (Nestopia) about some FDS protections

If the disk of Deep Dungeon II - Yuushi no Monshou (Japan) is dumped with "normal mode" it does not work on Nestopia and displays an anti-piracy message (it asks to buy the game for 3400 yens) In "protection mode", the dump work on Nestopia I checked the difference in hexeditor between "normal mode"...
