Re: Mesen-S - SNES Emulator

About G-Sync, I don't actually own a monitor that supports it, so it's hard for me to say. FYI, the first number is the number of frames the emulation core generated in the last second, and the 2nd number is the number of frames that were pushed to the video card in the last second. The only thing ...

Re: Mesen-S - SNES Emulator

Shift not being differentiated is a bit of a limitation to the way keys are processed in both Mesen & this one. I can't remember the exact details anymore, but I know I did actually try to fix this at some point in the past.. (did not find a viable solution, though) I had assumed the whole disappea...

Re: Mesen-S - SNES Emulator

Some minor things: - You could mention on the website that spc700.rom can be found in higan's source code archive as ipl.rom :D - In the key bindings window, Shift is not differentiated . Also, the program disappears from the Alt+Tab list when the window is open. (Win7) - Copy protection screen in D...

Re: bsnes-mcfly: The v073 and bsnes-classic killer

I'm still the biggest fan of PGO, but it's just way too much work per release. Especially when I have 21 cores to exercise now. Automated playback of an input file (e.g. a TAS) could help there. I'll give -O2 a try again. -O3 has always been faster, and if that's still the case, I'll stick with -O3...

Re: What 65816 test analogous to nestest?

I want to assume the misunderstanding is something I'm doing, not the documentation/technology, but I really don't know There really seem to be a few errors in there - SNES/emu coders have to compare with enthusiast documents (e.g. 1 2 3 ). But JMP (a) seems to be correct. As to the 65?02 variants ...

Re: What 65816 test analogous to nestest?

But then I went back up to the top of the doc and noticed the part that talking about "unmapped memory", and I have quite literally no idea what this phrase means, nor would I have any idea how you could test that since you wouldn't be able to stick code/data into regions which were "unmapped". I t...

Re: What 65816 test analogous to nestest?

Speaking of the IIGS...

Since this is a 65c816 machine with a different memory map, would it be possible to test the wrapping behavior that anomie wasn't able to test because of the RAM mirroring?
(of course it's possible that someone at 6502.org or elsewhere has already done that)

Re: What 65816 test analogous to nestest?

Here are some ROMs: https://board.byuu.org/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=1486 In contrast/comparison, the 65802 (not a typo) does emulate the 105 invalid instructions correctly (AFAIK). Afaik (from reading the manual) the 65c8xx core doesn't emulate the illegal opcodes at all; the only difference between the...

Re: GSS hanging on hw, spc quirk?

There is no exe, as in you need to compile it if you want one. Can I expect that developers of retro console games who use Windows will either have already installed MinGW-w64 and MSYS2 or be willing to install them? Of course not. That'd be a barrier. /s I wonder if people would install Free Pasca...
