Re: INL 12MB Snes boards not writing?

Tested some more today and actually got a 4MB Hirom to write to one of these and booted fine. I used the Retroprog 11.5 software this time with it's special firmware. I still can not get Star Ocean to boot on one of these though. For reference the link below is the Xdelta patch that I found on Ninte...

Re: INL 12MB Snes boards not writing?

I'm hoping that will be possible MottZilla but at this point just getting a board to program would be nice. I'm guessing windows 8.1 x64 isn't the issue here and others have gotten it to work on this os.. I wonder what else it could be.

INL 12MB Snes boards not writing?

Ordered some 12MB INL Hi/Lo boards and a Kazoo. I First programed Star Ocean 12MB deinterleaved version but it wouldn't boot. It erased fine and appeared to program fine but nothing on the Snes. Now this is where it gets fudged up. In my haste to get this working I plugged the INL cart back in to th...

Re: Ancient Stone Tablets

Haha, That would be pretty cool if someone actually did that koitsu. Reminds me of the old punch cards people used back in the days. I'm not sure if INL's Snes boards support multiple games in one cart. Maybe someone else could chime in, but if they do you could do the 2MB(X4) version of the games o...

Re: Using a 29f032 and a 139 decoder for rom and sram select

So a 139 can do the decoding, but what is going to be used to tie pin 1 high or low is the question? That is why you are suggesting a toggle switch to begin with right? What about a 393 binary ripple counter? Is the 393 similar in that it can also do the decoding, but only needs a pulse to toggle th...

Using a 29f032 and a 139 decoder for rom and sram select

Would this be possible? Trying to program 2x 2MB games to a 29f032 and use an extra 139 decoder to switch between the two and also bank switch the Sram all via the system reset. I'm not sure on how it would be setup if it's possible, but took a best guess anyway. 139(forum was formatting the text) h...

INL MMC3 Boards "TLROM TSROM TKROM" and "TGROM OR TNROM"

Are these boards all the same but with just different sized flash and sram chips or do the two groups actually have different pinouts and traces? Thanks and best regards.

The videos he has of the Cart Creation PCBs are impressive to say the least. Everyone can see his videos here if you are curious.

NES, EPROMs and speeds

I remember reading a while back that some NES games can start to act funky if the EPROM chip speed is too high. Does anyone have experience with 70ns chips or faster?

Edit: Ordered some 70ns chips. I'll report back once they are tested out.

Re: TG16 ext port to 29f016

Alright understood, thanks for that info Memblers. This is just trying to interface a flash chip to act as a ROM in a non intrusive way MaarioS. As for the A20, yeah it's weird, but it's really /CE. Earlier today I realized that the EXT pinout is for the PC Engine, and the TG16 pins differ in that t...

TG16 ext port to 29f016

I'm trying to wire up a flash chip using the extension port on the back of a Turbo Graphics 16. It looks like it has full access to all the pins on the HuCard connector so it should work in theory. The schematic I'm using for a reference has an 29f800 instead of my 29f016. The only difference is the...

Re: MM1026 Sram backup setup for SA1 with 256k SRAM?

Wow lidnariq, that m logo definitely threw me off but now see the proper sheet. Looks like all the mm1026 variants have the same pin outs so that is good. I guess it's just a matter of finding which SA-1 pin get's tied to the 256k SRAM pin 1(A14) and it's not SA-1 pin 104 which I thought for sure it...

MM1026 Sram backup setup for SA1 with 256k SRAM?

The one on my SA1 board is labeled 603 and it's a Microchip IC. I've seen others on various SA1 boards but am assuming they function the same and are setup different depending on the SRAM size. So far I know that SRAM pin 26 has to tie to SA1#103 if using 256k SRAM. Doing that and lifting pin 3 on t...

Rom Laboratory 404

Looks like the domain returns a 404 now. Such a pity all the information and pin outs are gone. Did anyone make a backup of the site by chance?

https://web.archive.org/web/20070801000 ... interia.pl has most of it, but there's some bits here and there missing.

Very nice of you to share your work like that. I have no use for it currently, but am sure others could find it helpful.
