Re: Action 53 volume 3

Not a problem! I can completely understand that paid work goes before volunteer work. I've pretty much been in the same boat. I think that I can speak as a group in saying that your work has been invaluable to the success of the competitions.

Re: 2017 NESDev Compo - Rules/Guidelines

Is the site/voting making progress? The voting surveys have been sent out. If you did not receive one (check junk folder), please let me know. The website will be finished tomorrow evening and will be posted Tuesday morning at the latest. I should really know better by now.... Took my laptop into w...

That should be fixed now. Please let me know if it is working.

Re: 2017 NESDev Compo - Rules/Guidelines

Website updated. I kept the judging parameters the same since I don't feel like throwing any curve balls this late in the game. I kind of had a surprise baby this year lol, so that took a lot of my time so I didn't get a better judging system in place either. I've seen some really impressive stuff o...

Re: 2017 NESDev Compo - Rules/Guidelines

I feel that most people who buy the cartridge have already played the released roms on the compo page. Releasing potentially buggy or less polished games on the compilation cartridge doesn't make sense at all. Also, most people who play these probably don't download all the interim releases leading ...

I'm planning on having the details up tonight. I have been holding off since in the past we have had to deal with a bunch of resubmissions which can get cumbersome.

Re: Action 53 volume 3

I agree, no rush. If anything it would make more sense to get ready for retail copies when this years compo is released. That way, when attention is pushed towards the new releases, we can send people over to buy last years cartridge. Keep things viable in the future. As for names/addresses, I vague...

Re: Action 53 volume 3

I'm going to say that things were pretty busy with the CAPCOM SFII release. "We designed, assembled, programmed, and tested all 5,500 of the circuit boards used for the limited edition Street Fighter II 30th Anniversary Cartridges."

Re: Action53 vol3 CIB survey: trad cardboard vs bitbox

Interesting how the NA crowd all want the traditional boxes. I'm torn myself. I really like the one bitbox I have, but it doesn't fit with the rest of my collection.
