Thank you for the insight, I spent entire afternoon searching for the Famicombox rom :)
Anyway, it's out of the question now, because I don't have the knowledge to be able to run it on NES or Famicom. I can mutilate a cartridge to run normal roms but this is far beyond my knowledge.

Searching: Presentation-advertising-promotional NES/FC rom

Hello I was wondering if any of you can help me find some homebrew or original rom for using in NES and FC display... Something that shows how much this system can do, some auto-playing demos, NES/Famicom logos flying around, promotional texts like "8-bit POWER", color palette display rolling and st...

Thanks for pointing out the important parts, when I get the cartridge, hopefully I would be able to make something out of it...well swapping the two adress lines shouldn't be a problem, but I don't know anything about romhacking so shifting the CHR page is out of my league, hopefully this won't be n...

check the SI table for the prefixes: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SI_prefix#List_of_SI_prefixes The 0,1 uF means 0,1 micro Fahhrad (and should be written μF = greek alphabet). 0,1uF = 100nF (nano Fahrad). At resistors is the same, but could be sometimes a little confusing: 1R = 1 Ω (ohm in greek alp...

Yes, thank you, I have been able to reproduce this hacked version by using the SMB3 cartridge. But I would rather have the original rom up and running on a cartridge with the VRC2 chip.

Mapper 23 reproduction question

I've recently purchased Ganbare Goemon Gaiden - Kieta Ougon Kiseru cartridge (still on the way) and I am wondering if it could be changed to Contra (J). I've found that GGGaiden is mapper 22 (VRC2 Type A) and Contra(J) is Mapper 23 (VRC2 type B). I wasn't able to find any info about pinouts of these...

I've never done UNROM, CNROM or NROM cartridges, but as far as I know, Yes, no modification is necessary. I've done SLROM and TKROM according to that instructions, and everything went well :) EDIT: but I hope you know about prepairing the rom for burning (cutting the header) and using exact type of ...

Hi! Silent Service ( http://bootgod.dyndns.org:7777/profile.php?id=438 ) will be ok for you to use, it has the same mapper, even the same 128KB ROM so it makes it perfect donor cart for Duck Tales 2. You don't have to worry about different writings on the chips, what's important are the parameters. ...
