I know that I'll eventually work on the engine again, but the theme of the game might be changed to avoid copyright issues.

Re: 2 nes homebrew games finished

I tried Vigilante right now. It's pretty cool, congratulations! The only problem is: the floor will not appear on NTSC televisions. Seems that your game was designed to use NES' full resolution (256 x 240) but people who plays at 256 x 224 won't be able to see the entire stage. http://i5.photobucket...

Re: HDNes - Mega Man III (4x graphics work)

I like a lot your choice of making a 1x hack using many colors instead of going HD.
It's almost like a Castlevania 2 for Sega Master System. Keep on this excellent work!

Re: Graphics-hacking Aladdin (Hummer Team)

Looks good; I hope you're keeping track of these changes, because I'm still only concerning myself with the player sprites right now. Yes, I am. :) That looks kinda dark. :? How does it compare with the SNES palette? It's very dark indeed. I want to make colors (like blues from Genie's skin) lighte...

Re: Legal issues with publishing original NES games (2014)

If I ever publish a NES homebrew my only concern will be replace the classic grey case for a different one. I have no idea if the grey cart design is registered by Nintendo but I think it's prudent to avoid using it. http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2012/204/b/4/nes_cartridge__pixel_art__by_blueamn...

Re: Graphics-hacking Aladdin (Hummer Team)

I agree with the red border for the sprites, but at this point I'm contemplating going with a lighter value for the skin tone. You're probably right. I'm not a big fan of NES' light colors (they're way too close to white) but maybe it's the choice for Aladdin's skin. Either way, I noticed some buil...
