Re: The Nestopia guy

Sweetish ?! Why are all americans so uneducated, especially about geography ? Didn't you guys go to school when you were a kid ? (it sounds offensive but I'm quite serious here) I'm an American and proud of it. It's offensive because you said " all ". You're generalizing a whole population based on...

Re: SMB1 + SMB2J SRAM Plus (FDS hack)

Someone has emailed me asking about how Xdelta is supposed to be patched. The executable tool that I recommend is deltapatcher . I've used this tool to create my Xdelta patch; it can also be used to patch existing Xdelta patches, too. How to switch disk sides on Nestopia (for the purpose of playing ...

Re: The Nestopia guy

Whether or not this really was the Nestopia guy who made this thread (I believe that it was) is not really that much of a big deal. It can safely be said that regardless if it's him or not we've definitely come a long way in both understanding the NES and working on Nestopia, one of the greatest and...

Re: SMB1 + SMB2J SRAM Plus (FDS hack)

Here is the new build. I'm now using Xdelta format, since it's probably better than .ips patches. Now what I've done is put both games on the single game file; SMB1 is on Side A and SMB2J is on Side B. If you need any help figuring out how to swap disk sides within your emulator, just ask. Here are ...

Re: Is this what I think it is?

I'm not sure if I'm being a little petty about this or not. So what I'll do is cast a little vote. If I get 6 or more (positive) responses to this I'll continue and finish the project. If you post, please tell me why you would like this game fixed (with SRAM already finished). I ask for 6 or more be...

Re: SMB1 + SMB2J SRAM Plus (FDS hack)

There's a v1.1 coming soon. Two things have been corrected in it: 1) I forgot to give Fire Flower eyes (something that the SMAS remakes do). 2) I found a non-gamingbreaking glitch in the SMB1 portion. I'm working on fixing it. Look out for this new build sometime early next week. --ShaneM, the Maste...

Re: SMB USA Plus (SMB2 USA)

Some of the fixes are nice, but some of the stuff just seems like personal preference. Anyway maybe I will give this a try sometime on my Twitch channel. Thank you. :) I apologize if the hearts is what you meant by the preference thing. I'm not really a drawing-type artist, but I did try my best to...

Re: Bruce Lee vs Mike Tyson

Bruce Lee would win because he was swifter than Tyson also having an edge in martial arts. Another thing is he had more strength. Muscle mass does not necessarily equal strength (Tyson having more muscle mass). Source: As a weight lifter, I focus on building mass rather than strength. Repetition bui...

Re: Is this what I think it is?

The human form is actually a beautiful thing. Judging from these last few posts, I'd say the attention is on the male genitalia depicted by Espozo. Thing is, people are again lacking in imagination. In his mockup, the above part with blocks are the male genitalia, along with the four blocks making a...

Re: Is this what I think it is?

Well, hopefully this will be my last post on this, but I will also release my source code when I release the mentioned SMB1 NROM with fixes from my edited post above. I think it's only fair to all the people. Also, in the SMB Special ROM on RHDN, 0x$F410 in ROM has over 2000 bytes of free space so m...

Re: Is this what I think it is?

It's sad that some people are so sensitive with stuff that aren't meant to be, though it's understandable that they may be offensive in some sense due to cultural difference or other historical reasons. I think it's good to be emotional (to an extent); that's what separates healthy humans from robo...

Then please tell me what it is. I think it's clear it was meant to be a design of some sort at the end of the water segment. I can only see a swastika. What is it, then?

Re: Is this what I think it is?

I don't see any reason to question the design of the blocks. It just looks like a pattern of the author's choice. Rephrased: people see what they want to see. The only reason it doesn't look the way Espozo did it earlier is because if the sign was completely done, it wouldn't show because only so m...

Re: Is this what I think it is?

I wonder what they were thinking when they added that symbol in at the end of the water segment 8-2? I mean, it's not even halfway through the level (just the end of the water part). It's not even anywhere near or at 8-4. So the logic behind understanding why that symbol is there must be to examine ...
