Re: Anyone Interested in a Combined NES + Gameboy Cart?

Just a little question: How hard would be to implement an Atari 2600 on this cart?
Don't the NES and the 2600 use the same processor?

Re: Bare NES cartridge PCB scans

I've got some bare pirates scanned here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0OtMD7uFlqgeVFRS3hITHhGQmM It's a bit messed up... almost all of them are taken from the thrash can. In some boards, the ROMs were fried and I couldn't identify the games some even had no ROMs, or part of the ROMs removed (s...

Help documenting MMC3 clone

Hello. I have found an old cartridge, the game is supposed to be Jackie Chan's Action Kung-fu, but the roms seem dead. It has a MMC3 clone named 9112. I have scanned both sides of the board and tried to trace the pins: .--\/--. CHR A10 |01 40| +5V PPU A12 |02 39| CHR A16 PPU A11 |03 38| CHR A11 PPU ...

Re: MMC1 clone with CIC "stun" support?

Sooo... looks like I messed up on the file naming... Took a look on all CRC32 on the files of the directory... Found it!! It has the same CRC32 as the Japanese original PRG. So the chip really is a MMC1 clone, nothing special. And looks like my dumping process is fine too !! Can someone try to...

Re: MMC1 clone with CIC "stun" support?

Damm... and I thought the process now should be error free :-( I'm really not sure if it's really a CIC defeat circuit, just guessing... It's really weird to have something connected to it. Maybe some famiclone expect something coming from this pin? Edit: maybe I should try this: http://www.chrismco...

Re: MMC1 clone with CIC "stun" support?

Nice!!
Gotta try this circuit.
I would like to get a ls32 to try to implement a UxROM on a NROM board. :-)
I already have a ls161!!

Thanks!!

Re: Susoft 5a clone?

I have just created a new thread.
Just this time I created in "NES Hardware and Flash Equipment".
I thought it would be in a more correct place, since I'm just "resurrecting" that old cart!!

MMC1 clone with CIC "stun" support?

Hello. I have found an old cartridge board on a very dirty deposit. It was a real mess, and smelling really bad!! I disassembled, cleaned, dumped the ROMs and scanned the board before reassembling. The game is Dragon Fighter, an MMC1 game. I got sad when I created a .nes file and no emulator ran it,...

Re: Susoft 5a clone?

Sorry for the long delayed answer. I managed to redump Batman J's CHR. Since I have done 3 times and got the same results, I'll assume it's a good dump. I choose to name the ROM as the chip, to avoid confusion (at last to me :-)). The video is going to be delayed a bit more, since I'm having a huge ...

Re: Susoft 5a clone?

Joe: Sorry to have misunderstood, and even confused you with zxbdragon... that was not my intention. As soon as I have a little more spare time I'll redump it a couple of more times to be sure it's correct. The motherboard trick, although a bit limited, seemed to me easier than build some kin...

Re: Susoft 5a clone?

Hey zxbdragon, should I ask where did you get this ROM? I would like to get it too and take a look, to make sure my dumping process is error free. If you're interested, I can try to reassemble the cartridge and make some videos, maybe this can help document a little more this mapper. By the way, I t...

It gets a little bugged on the top of the text, but not this much.
I should have made a video of the real thing before disassemble...
Maybe I should reassemble and make a video before the flash rom transplant.
