Help with Deadpool.NES

Post by Danger X » Thu Jul 11, 2019 10:08 am

I'm not sure this is the right site to post this but I'll do it.
First let me show you guys a hack that was made by a team of talented guys that took 3 years to be finished, Deadpool.NES
Gameplay video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ogila4ec1_c (video of an older version, the final version is way better)
Official page https://www.facebook.com/deadpoolnes

The game been finished one month ago but now we are going thru the last step, the reproduction.
The guys started to test the game on cartridges and they found a few problems, the game uses battery save features.
First we got some problems with a few variable in battery ram that is displaying the cheat option in the main menu when it shouldn't (the CHEAT option should appear after you finish the game).
Second the game doesn’t appear to be enabling save RAM at boot by writing $80 to $A001 register, that stops you from enabling the level select in the cheat menu.
Third the HUD will shake rarely, don't know why this is happening.
I can't post the rom due to past problem but if any of you want to help let me know.
We are so close, there are hundreds of people on facebook waiting the hack, let's not disappoint them.

Hey before I start playing this to see the problem, Could this be the link to the game?

Since I'm assuming that you are using the MMC3 Due to the distinction of writing $80 to $A001, Where are you writing that?
In Progress:
Tengu Tales (MMC3 Test first)[360 degress bullet direction math]
Baseball Brawlers (MMC5 full features, "Yoshi's Island")[Collision, SPG ]
Smash ("port",MMC5 )[Character Movement]

Wait, what cheat?
All I see is the Save, load, Option, Language and difficulty options.
SAve RAm seems to work fine.
Is it the cartridge itself?
