I've read around a bit, searched a lot, and I can't find a specified answer.

Special Famicom musical chips' use on US NES toaster style. Only real
hint was a post on here alluding to soldering some NES expansion port's
pins together to allow the extra audio hardware to play.

Also:

If I got a Fami-Disk drive and wired it up to the same system (NES
Toaster, with soldered connections), would it mess with the disk drive's
function? Or, would the problem of sound chips be solved by having the
drive installed?

Thanks,

Captain Rhythm

P.S. Sorry for all the novice questions (I had a previous thread with
some as well), the NES documentation isn't geared towards fringe
hobbyists. Nor dose the NES-Dev community have any hardcore archivists. :?
