A Japanese person "pgate1" has released his FPGA SNES implementation for DE0-CV (.sof binary only, no source code) just now: https://twitter.com/pgate1/status/897811366194536448

Unfortunately I couldn't try it out since I don't own DE0-CV. Looks like there's no chance of it fitting on the DE2 board that I have either (too many logic elements and too much block RAM in use). But maybe some people here will be interested in trying it out.

In development since 2005? That's a true long-term project.
Re: pgate1's FPGA SNES released (for DE0-CV)
Why wouldn't it fit? AFAIK the DE2 has way more LE and RAM than the DE0.thefox wrote:Looks like there's no chance of it fitting on the DE2 board that I have either (too many logic elements and too much block RAM in use). But maybe some people here will be interested in trying it out.
Of course if he doesn't release the source then there is no hope of porting it anyways, but we can always hope he does

DE0 is not the same as DE0-CV (see https://www.terasic.com.tw/cgi-bin/page ... ist=Simple).getafixx wrote:Why wouldn't it fit? It's great news to see how these FPGA implementation are succesful. Unfortunately, they are not open-source so nobody can help improving or testing them.
