The MySQL server which is relied upon for the forum was down for some hours this morning due to upgrades (particularly a full OS install/upgrade done remotely via serial console).

In the process of upgrading we found that the primary/OS disk in the MySQL server is experiencing issues with its cache or circuitry on the PCA, causing some ATA I/O transactions to take up to 20 seconds to complete. Not good.

We'll be bringing the server back down again shortly (probably within the next hour) to have that disk replaced.

Sorry for any inconveniences/annoyances this causes.
