Famicom Racing Game F-Theta

I don't think anyone posted this yet so I'll post it. F-Theta
Seems like a bird-view racing game with some very impressive techniques and aesthetics, featuring rotation of the play field.

The above video is stage 3, videos of other tracks are also there.

I had this weird back-and-forth debate inside my own head about how impressive this was before finally settling on really impressive. I kept thinking that it was the Super Famicom and it was just using Mode 7, but then there was a full-screen animation, then it was back to kinda-mode-7... and then it started raining and the car turned on its headlights.

Then I was like "eh, the headlights don't even move with the car" before I realized I was criticizing a game which is literally calculating a transformation that the Famicom by rights should not be capable of for not having 100% perfect physics.

This is ridiculously cool.
