i have been pondering an idea. i would like to setup a website with a dynamic php script to aid in the writing of an NES programming book. it would start with the basics of 6502 and then gradually move on to NES specific information. It would include working examples, pointers, tips, and an appendix with usefull routines for the NES. I would like this to be a community project with input from anyone who wants to contribute. is anyone interested in helping me with this? if anyone is interested i will setup a website with a script to aid in the development of this online book. :)

I assume said "dynamic php script" is nothing more than a wiki (preferably MediaWiki).

Well, that's about what we need... but a wiki is about your best bet. Why would you want to write something that has already been done? Although, what I feel needs to be done to said wiki is to make it more newbie friendly... or at least a section that could help out tremendously more than now: Example

Not to say hand feed people code or anything, but a helping hand in the beginning of development would be awesome... people around here know stuff, and sometimes it feels like nobody wants to share the basics of what they know. Bah, off the main subject I suppose.

There is already the beginning of a NES programming book wiki started at the wikipedia sister site:
