Hi, I am kinda new to all this. I have been doing tons of snes and nes repros, but I wanted to work on some gb/gbc ones as well. I have currently been just wiring them manually which takes FOREVER! Then I was watching a vid and saw this guy showing off his reproduction and it had a custom pcb with a plcc 32 pin on it. I have looked all over the internet and cannot find the same one. The chips I are AMD AM29F040B.
Thanks so much,
Brandon

Anyway, for a new board, you'll still need to transfer the MBCx IC, or CPLD, lest you be limited to 32 KiB games anyway.
It wouldn't be too hard for games that are just MBC5 without RAM, to build something out of a few tiny discretes ... although size might still be a doozy.

Here is the video I saw. Watch when he picks up the gameboy color and shows the cart in the back. See how there is no wiring going on, just soldered to the board.

That's ... probably not the video you meant, it's about the 3ds not the DMG.
