I riped some Backgrounds of Nekketsu! Street Basket - Ganbare Dunk Heroes (J).nes

Neato! It's interesting to see how the artists worked their way around the aspect clash with the background. I can see some small errors here and there, but that dark doorframe was a clever trick!

How did you rip them? Do you have the raw data (8x8 tiles, tile indices, color attributes, palettes) available?

Well to be honest with you I cheated! :mrgreen:
I just used the Name Table Viewer of FCEUX Emulator + winxp Paint

OK, that's fine. I asked because I'm looking for some test data for my game engine.

Random idea: An application (emulator extension, maybe) that monitors the PPU nametable and scroll settings and tries to collect level data (in a raw format) as the player moves within the game world. Might be useful for making images of game levels.

I think some of the TASers already have a tool like that, which they use to make GIF animations of things like zipping in Mega Man series.
