I'm not sure that lasers are feasible... ^^;

I once came up with the idea of a display where you'd send a pulse horizonally and vertically through the screen, and where the two pulses cross it can light up. I'm honestly not sure if there's any material that'd allow for such a thing (or at least close enough), it was just a random idea for having a flat equivalent to CRTs (in that they allow for arbitrary resolutions).
