The *Official* Pixel Art Request Thread

Post by Polar Hacker »

I don't know if this is allowed or not here, but I thought of a good idea for a thread. The rules are simple. Someone submits an request for pixel art, then others can contribute by drawing it. It allows people to practice their art skills as well as help others. Here's my first request:

I would like someone to turn this Tryclyde from SMB2 into a three headed seal. Image Same number of colors. Around the same size too so I can import it into the game. Thanks in advance! :D

What do you mean by "seal"?

Definition of seal
1
: a sea mammal that swims with flippers, lives mostly in cold regions, bears young on land, feeds on fish and other sea animals (as squid), and is sometimes hunted for its fur, hide, or oil
2
: the soft fur of a seal

noun
Definition of seal
1
: something that closes tightly <The seal on the package is broken.>
2
: the condition of having a tight seal <Caulk gives the window a seal.>
3
: an official mark stamped or pressed on something <She … stamped her own official seal beside his signature. — Lois Lowry, The Giver>
4
: a device with a cut or raised design or figure that can be stamped or pressed into wax or paper
5
: a stamp that may be used to close a letter or package <Christmas seals>
6
: something (as a pledge) that makes safe or secure <The deal was made under seal of secrecy.>

Other Military Terms
- SEAL

Because, frankly, I can't imagine the animal seal with 3 heads, but a 3 headed Navy SEAL, maybe.

As far as I can tell, that's on the right track. Both dogs and seals are carnivorans.

This raises one question: phocid (like a harbor seal) or otariid (like a California sea lion)? The otariids have ear flaps and can turn their hind flippers down to act as hind feet.

That's true. I guess I should have been more specific. Maybe like a harp seal? Image

Yeah, more like the Phocid, but using the flipper idea from the Otariid.

Don't forget to hastily change it to a 3-headed dwarf yeti for the North American release.

You don't have to if you don't want to, but since you already worked on a seal, want to turn this Cobrat into a seal? Image (One headed). I don't want you to do it if you don't want to though. Thanks :)

Thanks :) This is really great!

Just wondering... Do you think this should post should be stickied? So we don't have a whole bunch of posts with the same goal?
