Sadly, it was photobucket that made them into JPEGs. They are actually BMP files.

I don't have good image editing software at work, which is where I posted them from.

I will create a set of animated GIF files of the different animations shortly.
DONE

(I think his head is bobbing a little bit too much.. I'll see what Wombatguy thinks.)

Tonight I think I will try to work on some 8x8 and 16x16 "Environment" tiles, like bricks, bubbling liquids, Spikes, etc.

It looks like it will be the weekend before I can get ahold of Wombatguy about these jacketman sprites, so I will just make a few more for the missing animations, then hold off on those for awhile.

I pulled a copy of the original NES simon belmont sprite set for size comparison for making another set of character sprites. (Don't worry, they will be all original, I just need a size.) --Should anyone want to do a castlevania type clone. Considering pimping out my magician (see left!) for that role, but not sure how he will work out at that scale, and in reduced colors.

Might make him an enemy.

Created a simplistic set of isoparametric perspective wall and floor tiles.

Should be good for a simple adventure game, or iso-platformer mockup.

It looks like oblique projection (Double Dragon, Earthbound, ...) not Isometric projection (Tactics Ogre, Final Fantasy Tactics, Snake Rattle 'n' Roll, ...)

*double checks*

Yeah, I suppose it is oblique projection. (shrug)

Regardless, it's there, it's free, and it uses around 9 tiles. (some of the tiles in the sample's bottom are not used in the sample. they are included for "finishing series" when put next to solid colors, or for use with combining with another tile using a logical AND, such as against a sky tile.)

It's just something different from the stock 2D platformer (megaman, Mario), or Zelda-Like overhead flat projections.

For completeness, I need to make "archway", "Door", and "steps" tiles though. Might do that tomorrow.
