Issues dumping SNES games with INL Retro Dumper (not Kazzo)

Post by megasdkirby » Mon Jun 22, 2020 7:21 pm

My deepest apologies if this is not the current subforum. Please move to the correct one. Thanks in advance!

I'm trying to dump the Joe and Mac Collection by Retrobit. Problem is, no matter how large the file output, the game starts and goes to the menu screen, but when I choose a game (hit START), the emulator (any emulator) locks up on me. Standalone emulator, RetroArch...anything.

I don't know what to do or what's wrong. I've included a screenshot of what I see on the screen. Also, this is the command I use to dump the cart:

inlretro.exe -s scripts\inlretro2.lua -c snes -k 2048 -d output\JOE.SMC

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Odds are fairly good that the cart contains some kind of extra hardware to make it a multicart. If so, dumping it will require extra work, comparable to dumping a novel NES game, and even a good dump won't work in an emulator. If you're lucky, you'll be able to extract the individual three games from a good dump and use those in an emulator.
