Mega Man X3 Zero Project 4.1 Help

Post by megamanretro » Sat Mar 07, 2020 3:38 pm

greetings everyone. recently when launched the ROM Mega Man X3 Zero Project 4.1 I decided to create a cartridge like this to play on the console using the real hardware (CX4) I managed with a little effort to run the game without any compatibility problem. it is even possible to finish the game without any problems.
but a game function does not work. the save.
even why I didn't put an SRAM because I didn't find any more information if it was possible to implement an SRAM on the donor card I used (Rockman X2)
Some connoisseurs manage to inform me if it is possible to implement save on the 2DC0N-01 board without using any multiplexers as in the case of Mario RPG (SA-1) and Yoshi Island (GSU-2)?
Thankful if you can help me.

Sorry for my English from Google Translate :D

Mega Man X3 and no other CX4 game either had SRAM.
The game is completely playabale until the end.
The CX4 only supports up to 2MB of ROM data.
You will have to create custom logic to bypass that.

Check this:

P.S. I think this should be moved to reproduction.

I've already managed to run Mega Man X3 Zero Project 4.1 on the Rockman X2 donor card. what I couldn't do was implement the save. I made some attempts to implement the use of a FRAM but was unsuccessful

I actually didn't know SRAM was added to the hack.
But you can add custom circuit for LoROM game.
Look at SHVC-1A3B PCB for example. ;)
