 Post subject: Animated Game Selection

I am not a programmer, and this is not related to the actual emulation, but rather, is what I think would be a fun idea for selecting ROMs to load with emulators. With most modern monitors having a 16:9 aspect ratio, and the system originally displaying in 4:3, there is a lot of extra space. As a fun way to select games, there could be an animated section of the screen where games can be selected from a shelf, dragged with the mouse cursor, and loaded into the system.

Maybe some other emu author would be interested in doing this, but IMO it looks like an unnecessary annoyance. Especially when you've got a folder with a thousand ROM files in it.

It's more of a novelty thing. It should be optional.

I agree dragging is a bit tedious. But take some inspiration from a multicart interface that I mocked up about three years ago:
