Was just me that had given a smile when I remembered that 190 is the Police number her in Brazil? :P

About the death wish, I think death is a little bit too definitive...
Unless proven the contrary, I have not seem anyone that is dead do any of the things that he/she liked to do before death.
There are some people that claim the contrary, thought I find it a little difficult to believe.
Anybody, or should I say everybody is free to disagree or question the GPL or whatever it likes to question, but please, don't choose death since you probably won't have the possibility to question anything if you're dead.

Of course, after death you may inspire some people or a group of people to follow you for the ideas that lead you to die.
But even them, your ideas may be distorted and messed around by other people, who may reach essentially the opposite goal you were seeking while alive.
So please, no death and lots of health to everybody here!!

I think Liberty or Death came out too late to be one of Koei's SOROM/ETROM historical sims. But it is on Super NES and Genesis.

I thought I had heard "Liberty or death" on a Metallica's song...
I just can't remember right now the song name.
Edit: I remembered the Metallica's music, it's Don't Thead on Me.
Or was it another band's name or album?? (Not sure about that, maybe it is/was a local band...)

I really missed this game...
Never had heard about it.
How good is it??

Edit:
About the death wish... well, everybody is free to choose whatever he/she thinks is better.
But I think it's just unfair to throw on the thrash something that milions of people are fighting for: your own individual life.
I still had not played the game yet...

For those who honestly don't know this, "Give me liberty, or give me death!" is a 1775 quote from American revolutionary Patrick Henry.
Here come the fortune cookies! Here come the fortune cookies! They're wearing paper hats!

You're ingenuously drifting away from the subject. Let's get back.
He thinks to have solved the problem with Nestopia source policy infringement by just forgetting his old project and starting a new one. That's why the pun with "liberty or death".

The penalty of shame.

There are legal liabilities but I'd be surprised if anyone wanted to take it to court.

The punishment is basically "The hall of Shame".

If the program's copyright was registered with the U.S. Copyright Office, statutory damages under U.S. law could be $750 to $30,000.

Better be safe than sorry.
Just a simple act can avoid so many problems...

I just can't understand why many people have trouble sharing code...
I don't program much (or should I say at all) right now, but when I did I used to shared my code (mostly on a zip file).
Not that I had made some cool stuff, but at the time I saw no problem in doing so...

He did changes to the project, like adding more mappers, but never open-source! Something like... "Only I have the brains to rule Lylat".

This remembers me the old SNES9x vs ZSNES fight.
In the end, both teams opened the source and collaborated with each other.
So, many people just don't share code just so they can fill and grow their own giant ego.
I wouldn't expect this, specially from an emulator author!
Mostly because on many cases their work comes on top of other people's work, be it for information on the inner workings of the machine or the compilers/libraries used.
I just fell sad for all this!!

But he's not the only emu author out there. In fact there are other emulators thar are light years better them his, and the source is out there, to anyone who wishes to take look and learn a thing or two, just like me. :P

He's not an emulator author, but someone that wrote new mappers to the Nestopia.
